Never took any Art classes. Mom's cousin was the Senior Art Professor at Oklahoma University and told me when I was 4 to never take any art classes just get whatever materials and media you want to do art with and do it. Said when you take classes your art ends up just like the teacher's.

For sure, she doesn't even like that Dynomite song from Taio Cruz any more.

She has always doodled and such. Another girl there said she can't draw to save her life and would never be an artist. I told her to look up Jackson Pollock.

Did some painting but got frustrated when I couldn't make sky that didn't look cloudy. Did mostly all pencil, colored pencils, and pen and ink including technical illustration until the computer came along.

Took my mom to her cousin the artist/art professor's funeral. There were lots of highbrow Art types there. Mom would tell them I was an Artist as well. They asked what medium I worked in. Told them I was into computer art. They would say a lot of people do that and walk off. They were pretty snooty.

Goodness. Company is closing at 3:30 today do to inclement weather forecast.

Yea, I heard they are closing schools as well. That makes sense, send the kid home to be alone in the house. Whatever. They never closed schools for us for a thunderstorm. In Alabama they did close schools on the forecast of snow the next day. It did not snow at all.

I am keeping a close watch on it. Right now it looks like the storms are going north of OKC which is good got us. There is a wide swath of storms going northeast as usual. We will just send em on up north.

12 or more tornadoes so far in the state. The tv stations are on "wall to wall" they do not stop weather coverage. No commercials, nothing but watching the weather. The chopper is up and over 20 storm chasers on the ground. So far no big deal here.

Big Hat, no Cattle.

That phrase keeps popping up in my mind. We have a potential client that is either going to make us rich and keep us busy, or is a total lying POS. We have been on the verge of getting the go ahead for a big project for months. He has more excuses as to why it has not started yet but no money. We have told him we will not even drive to the airport until he does a bank transfer for the cost of the first project. We trust him almost as much as Hillary Clinton, but not quite that much. He will be a pay up front client until proven he is real, and not all smoke and mirrors.

Met a guy dressed to the nines as on of those rich cowboy types. He was being transported minimum security prison for embezzlement. He was in county holding the same time I was for trying to drive my 4x4 on 2 wheels down the highway (those ramped up guard rails don't work nearly as well as you would think.)

Anyway, he embezzled 4 million dollars from an oil company. It had taken them a year to catch him. He had started his own company, when the got close he cashed it out for 10 million. Said deal he made was he paid the company back plus interest and was on his way to spending 2 years in golf club prison. Said he thought it was a good investment to walk out in two years with 4 million free and clear.

Turned into a sucky Friday. Everyone in IT left early and left me running the help desk remotely.
