Are we supposed to be motivated during the weekday?

Here is some motivation:

GET YOUR BUTT IN THERE AND GET THE JOB DONE!!!!!!

Does that help at all?

Thanks Brent, I've used that pool forum a few times now and it's good.

Man, I poured it on today!

Helped the next door lady install hew window A/C unit, then mowed her lawn as her lawn dude still hasn't shown. The house behind this one is the widows so I went ahead and did the front part as I was there with the mower anyway. Our front roadside section runs into the neighbor so I just kept going and did that as well.

If the front is done, the sides and back will look odd so I did those, too. Criminy, I've been pushing a mower since 11am.

I took a nice 12 mile bike ride this morning before all the mowing, too.

OK, here is real scientific proof that my 911 is FAST.

I am working with the Garmin GPS I have and trying to program a route in from the computer. It is talking just fine and I was looking at the old trip logs. Last year at parade I went from Zero to 183 MPH in ONE SECOND and back down to 7 in one second. The brakes must have become just too hot to stop. I have to assume this was while I was on the track at Indy.

OK, beat that!

How retarded. My office is in the ground floor of a 13-story building. My car is parked on the 3rd floor (assigned parking). Tonight as I left my office and tried to take the elevator to the third floor, the security guard made me sign in to the building visitor log. First time this has happened in 9 years. Wonder if he makes the building cleaning crew or himself do the same thing.

At the Philips Petroleum building employees are only allowed on the floor their office is on or lower.
A girl I dated's Dad worked on the 17th floor and he couldn't even visit his wife on the 22nd floor. But their daughter and I as guest could visit either. Since we visited him first I asked and took a love note from him to his wife. They both thought that was real cute. The daughter thought it was silly.

The Dad and another guy shared a secretary. The other guy was the father of another girl I was dating as well. It was kinda weird they both just smiled real big and were nice me and never told their their wives or daughters I was dating both girls. The only comment they made was that their daughters visit but never bring a boy they are dating to their office. Maybe it was so they could do a company background check.

Strange that the guard did that. Maybe his superior made a decision to start a new policy. Seems like the tenants of the bldg. would be advised of any changes.

Did he not realize that you are the doc with the bada$$ 930? I mean, c'mon!

We used to do a lot of work for Kerr McGee when their headquarters was here in OKC. It was just decorative photos but they liked to change thing around and out all the time. Since they wanted us to print it and install it we went all over that building. The other guy that helped me carry some of the prints and I would get a temporary pass to go from the tunnel to the top floors. Most of the employees had never seen the parts we were told to go hang prints.

Good Humpday morning.

The OKC police department called last week and they wanted a picture of an area from 1997 near a river. It was like he was trying to be evasive on the exact area, and details. I told him I can't just print all of river and let him pick what he wants. He finally got me the area, and of course starts to whine about how they will pay for it. It is just $80 so we are not talking much money. He is supposed to be here soon to pick it up. They would rather send a detective to our office and bring a thumb drive than spend $5 for a CD and $8 to mail it to him. I could FTP it to him but his IT department already said that is NOT allowed. I guess using logic or common sense is not approved.

That was it, Kerr-McGee not Phillips.

The Police IT department is afraid their network will get hacked if they allow any access. And I imagine with good reason. Wouldn't think the department's employees are any more tech savvy than anywhere else.

Know if I was still in charge of network security at the company I work, security would be much tighter than it is. Actually, when I was in charge of network security, it was much tighter. Had hackers I knew try to get in to check security and were dumbfounded that they couldn't get in. Was using "non-entrprise" hardware and software they had no idea how to hack. Now company is using std Cisco stuff that has to be patched all the time.
