Really really wanted to go to Parade when it was in Colorado. Even registered. They contacted me and had me send pictures of my 928 with some info. Then called and offered to feature it in a historic display for the concours, with a special parking, an award, and a wall plaque. Ended up not being able to go at the last minute. Thankfully they understood my circumstances and gave me all my money back and didn't get charged for my room or any of the stuff I had signed up for.

Well got new responsibilities in just one day. Manage the help desk jobs. When a new help comes in I just route it to the person that takes care of that stuff. It's done thru a web page so can route jobs on my iPhone easy peasy. In one day did a better job than the guy that's been doing it for 2 years.

Be sure to tell the boss you worked all weekend day and night and researched and planned and found a complex solution that only you will know how to do.

One the way back The guy in front of me was in a Boxster S. He snapped this when we had to stop at some intersection. I followed him to the area where he parked and asked him to email a copy. This is the cropped version.

Nice.

Glen, as a professional photographer...if you were to put a polarizing lens filter on the camera, would you be able to see the people in the cars better? Just curious.

Possibly. It all depends on the sun angle. It would never hurt except to reduce the amount of light. And you really need to have a SLR to tweak the position of the outside ring to get the glare to a minimum.
He was using a cell phone of course.

A polarizer would have helped this shot a lot. But no polarizer on an iPhone.

Got one of them already, and diff breathers as well, and a nose bra. The deepest I've been to is a metre, but the water was slow moving and the bottom was rocky. The problem is mud. In outback Queensland, they have a black soil that sticks like 5hit to a blanket when wet. Once it fills your wheel arches, you're not going anywhere.

Woo hoo. I am loving the weather today. It was in the 80s yesterday and hot. Right now at 4:45 in the afternoon it is 68. The low is forecast at 52. I may need my jacket.

Had my GMC Jimmy thru water up to an inch from coming in the windows. It was erie.

It sputtered thru the water. We thought we were going swimming. It would push forward and water would cover the intake and it would cut out. Our wake would kind of pass us, uncovering the intake and it was push forward again. The water was about a football field long. It died not long after we cleared all the water. We we were so excited we didn't have to swim we jumped out and were running around screaming an yelling. Water was running out of everywhere. After we calmed down a bit got back in and it started right up and we drove on. The next day I checked everything for water. The difs, transfer case, transmission, wheel hubs. The only evidence was the air filter weighed what seemed like 50 lbs still soaked with water.

Brent--the therapist told me to not analyze it too much. Sometimes things just fall into place with no rhyme or reason.

By the same logic...5hit happens.

There are 3 books of the bible in the old testament in order.

Psalms.
I suck, God is great, Praise God, God Help me.

Proverbs.
Okay, here is how to be successful.

Ecclesiastics
F it, Fortunes are to the winds, 5hit happens.

Morning all. Burr, it is 54 degrees outside. The high is supposed to be 63.

We are off to visit a small part of Canada. Not a long trip, it is not even 5 miles to Canada from here. My Porsche will become an Internationally driven car. Yea, I not it was made in Germany and driven on to the transport. But that was when the factory still owned it. I have no idea where it has been before I bought it 21 years ago. It was sold new in Texas.

Hey Pete, if you are still coming up on Thursday? I have some tickets we will not use for the Friday night Autocross banquet. We will be on the road going south by then. Free to you or anyone in your region that wants them.

We are going to a place in Canada called Domaine Pinnacle. They make Apple Ice Cider. Then we will head over to Rennline, Inc and see their operation. I have been informed that is we see a place that says Antiques we will be stopping. I told her she will have to hold anything she buys in her lap for 1,700 miles or so. She said she can have anything shipped.
