When I was going to the surgeon once a week to get the fairy dust put on my foot loved getting a Schlotzsky's sammach. Was on the way home. Pretty much stopped when the foot got better and wasn't making the weekly trips. When by a year or so later a couple of times and the Schlotzsky's sammach I really liked gave me indigestion so bad haven't been back since.

One of my buddies is married to his college sweetheart. They went to Oklahoma State and his wife was a room mate of Garth Brooks first wife. She said it was really strange to sit at home and watch some award show on TV and see her former roommate walking the red carpet on the arm of a super star like Garth.

That was just the top ten.
Rolling Stones were 13 behind George Strait 11 and Barbara Streisand 12 Aerosmith was 14 was very close to tied with the Stones. Just because they are dead doesn't mean they quit selling their albums.

Garth Brooks: ZERO Elvis Presley: none Led Zeppelin: Every single one of them Eagles: The greatest hits 1 & : 2 Billy Joel: none Michael Jackson: none Elton John: a few Pink Floyd: a Few AC/DC: An even dozen

Have a couple songs from the Beatles. Have a couple Zep CDs and a couple or three Eagles CDs. Have a few Pink Floyd songs. Our daughter has a hard time with the lyrics for Dark Side of the Moon. Makes no sense to her.
Have a crap ton of other CDs though, just nothing in the top ten.

Think it is bogus sales figures. ZZ Top aint in the top 50! But Kenny G is number 26 and Reba Mcintire 34.

I have the El Camino back. It is silly hot for another day. Too hot to check out the car when it will be cool in the morning. Summer ends today and I am ready for fall. I want fall to last until March and go to spring.

Mornin ya'lll
It is nice to have my Elky Back. As soon as the sun get a little higher I will do a close inspection. It looks pretty good with a casual glance. There is a lot of overspray on the frame and under the car from working on the rust issues at the bottom of some of the panels. They said they cut it out and fixed it right. I am sure it will come back in some places when it is between the inner and outer skin. It was all cosmetic. I hope I can power wash the frame to clean off the overspray. It is not a big deal. The steering wheel was filthy but it always is when it gets left at a shop. That is one of the many reasons I prefer to do my own work.

Yea, it is gonna be a very dirty car. Assuming you ever really get it back.
The good news is a nice detailing should fix it up.

Do have a paint restoration detail guy all lined up. Plan to put one of those nano coatings on it also.
May have the stone chips repainted by Body Worx. Estimate was $1000 or less. Included front clip, fenders and hood. The sure did a nice job on the paint restoration before.

Ready for the next chapter in the Turbo Cayenne saga?
Headlights, the reason I bought the car! The other night after turning a corner the head lights and corner lights flashed then all the exterior lights went out. The in a few feet one low beam headlight came on. Luckily was only 1 mile from home. Already had a wiring harness for the driver side headlight but haven't put it on yet. Garage thought old harness may have shorted and blew a fuse before we got the new one put on, but alas no such luck. The insulation on the wiring inside the headlight assembly itself is dried out and flaking off like the harness. Checked passenger side and it's harness and wiring inside the headlight is in worse shape than the driver's side. So besides the wiring harness it needs the headlight assemblies replaced. Headlight assemblies are from $1000 to $1200 EACH! The headlight assemblies include the motors and electronics for operating and leveling the xenon lights. Did some searching and wiring that dries out from the higher temps of the HID lights seems to be a common problem on all cars built in mid 2000s with HID headlights not just Cayennes. Great. Searching salvage yards the cheapest headlight assemblies are $700 each. Was able to find new headlights from Valeo in Spain. Valeo is the OEM manufacturer Porsche gets them from. They are $840 for the pair as opposed to $1400 used or $2000 new from Suncoast Porsche (the cheapest dealer for parts). At least they will be nice clear new lens. May have to try some lens protector film to keep them that way.

Ouch. Sorry dude, that sucks.
The new headlights are great for the driver but so many of them suck for the oncoming traffic. It sounds like you turbo is much like the old price range of 911 air cooled cars. Back when a nice one as available for 20K the truism was that all 911 were 20K cars. You could buy a cheaper project car but would spend the money to bring it to a 20K car or you could just buy a really nice one for the 20K. I guess it is likely still true except the final price it a LOT higher, and I am OK with that. I was curious so I looked it up. A new headlight for the Elky is $3.95 A new headlight wiring socket is $2.99 It is not but maybe 1/2 as bright and does not have turning lights as your Turbo, but it is cheap.

My used car radar must have gotten shorted out due to getting such a good deal on the Cayenne S and it having zero problems.
I knew there was going to be a couple of things that needed attention on the Turbo, but not nearly as much as has needed sorted out. Like someone installing the wrong size brake rotors or putting in cheap LED bulbs EVERYWHERE that the car can't see so throws bulb out errors? Who does that shiet? Seems it would be pretty obvious when only half the brake pad even touches the rotor, or when you put in one light bulb and the car immediately tells you it is burnt out? Just not anything you even look for!
