I should have put this in green font. I was gunna ask the question no matter who won. ;)

I really don't care, and didn't understand why we needed so much tv coverage of your election over here?

Unfortunately, stupid emotional people decided our stock market needed to take a dive because of the result.

Morning all

It always does on an election like that, the losers start selling so it goes down. Then he winners start buying and it goes back up. At least that's my impression.

Porsche-poor 11-09-2016 01:05 PM

Well the election had no effect on my life as of yet..................

Election results impacted marital relations last night between myself and the liberal Mrs. Noah.

My wife and I share most political views.

The Master Gardner course she is taking she says is taught by a bunch of ladies that are retired grade school teachers. Today she went down there to show the instructors some tips on how to send email. When she is the email expert I guess they have a real need for help.

When I was in the Computer club most of the people coming to the club needing help were teachers. Got real frustrating because they didn't really want to learn how to do things, they wanted you to do it for them. And during work hours! And if you went to help them of an evening they didn't even feed you.

GH85Carrera 11-09-2016 08:11 PM

One of the first computer clubs I joined was much like what you said. Of course it was in the DOS 2.1 days and almost everyone needed help. I quickly figured out the few smart members quickly and avoid the hopeless time suckers. They thought I should fix their problems for free.
Ultimately we started a small private club with top engineers and I was the dumb member that could not program in assembly and my batch files were sloppy. I was the one that taught them about Fido Net long before the internet.

Is she rioting, throwing temper tantrums, looking for a safe space or mumbling about moving to canada?

Outback Porsche 11-10-2016 02:36 AM

Happy birthday Glen

RKDinOKC 11-10-2016 03:49 AM

Yeah Glen...Happy Freakin Burpday!

Where I work you get your birthday off.

There were too many birthday parties at breaks and lunch.

Oh Haha 11-10-2016 05:24 AM

Well, Happy Birfday Sir!

Wife took today and tomorrow off. Prolly gonna cut into my puppy/human nap times. :(

GH85Carrera 11-10-2016 05:32 AM

Thanks, age is just a number. A big number sometimes but my mental age remains at about 14 or 15.

I had to give up the shorts today. It was 39 degrees at my house but warming up to low 60s and it will be a pretty day. Tonight Mrs Carrera will actually buy dinner at my favorite restaurant, Pearls and I figured getting dressed up in Jeans is OK for my birthday dinner. Normally she never reaches for her wallet when we eat. She "lets" be buy except on my birthday.

Shorts will be back tomorrow!

RKDinOKC 11-10-2016 06:34 AM

The more birthday's you have the longer you live.

Porsche-poor 11-10-2016 06:49 AM

morning all. Happy birthday Glen.

What I don't get about the riots is since they lost they seem to be out numbered........

Oh Haha 11-10-2016 07:58 AM

I had a follow up doc visit today to see how the BP is without the meds. It is, in the nurse's exact words, "perfect". WooHoo!

Still have to deal with the colonoscopy thing but that's not until next month, maybe. My doctor and the surgical place can't seem to communicate very well. The nurse told me today that the surgical site is overwhelmed most of the time so she will stay on them to get it scheduled. yay:rolleyes:

Windy as heck but warm here today.Wifey and I are going to use a gift card we received from her boss. The place is "Unbelievable Freakin' Burgers". We'll see about that.

GH85Carrera 11-10-2016 08:04 AM

Colonoscopes are no big deal. Just the prep the night before sucks big time. Demand a early morning appointment. With no food the night before and no breakfast the hungries set in fast.

The best part is you will be under doctors orders to fart at will. They don't put a time limit on that!

Noah930 11-10-2016 08:36 AM

Hbd!

No. But she was one of those who was scared and discouraged Tuesday night. Compared to the rest of her family members, though, she made it through very well. The rest of her family is on the verge of a meltdown. Which prettying sums up the sentiment amongst the social circles in my part of La-La Land, also.

RKDinOKC 11-10-2016 08:47 AM

Instead of saying the prep "sucks big time" a better description is that it "blows out the wazoo!"

Ah ha ha...The Wheel of Fortune is on the TV in the other room. The volume is not very loud.
While typing this one of the contestants solved a puzzle and I swear I heard him say "The poop is in the pudding"

Glad I haven't had any pudding and now certainly don't want any pudding.
