Don't know, there just might be a pretty tour guide on the island the he could get some extra attention from by being left on the island.

Cool, your own private island in a gated community!

Usually I am pretty good about pointing out the bright side of things.

Then,as they start to say "Oh, that isn't so bad", I let them know the reality of the situation.

Unless I like the person. Then I don't do the second part.

Yea, Alcatraz would not be a great place to spend much time. It is almost always cold as heck in SF and that island would really suck for more than a tour.

Will you have time to go to the Muir woods? Well worth the trip and it is not far. I know you son has a seen a big tree but those trees in the Muir woods are likely bigger. Not as big as the biggest Sequoias, but big ol trees.

There is a lot to see in the SF area. Gotta pick and choose the best.

We had a nice warm day yesterday and today is the same but it feels strange to have thinder and lightning at 5am, oh well we need the rain

I am only in second because I am one of the few regulars from the beginning. The other long timers are just quitters.

We are likely to have thunderstorms this afternoon. They are predicting almost 3 inches of rain. I will be surprised if we get an inch. We will take it. Noat like we have much choice about weather. Will Rogers said it many decades ago, "Everybody talks about the weather, but no one does anything about it"

Hope it's because of the leaving the house thing and NOT the putting on clothes thing.

Woke up this morning and had to go pee which is not that unusual. However, boss called and company wants me to drive to work and pee in a cup. Seems I wasn't being picked on they are drug screening everyone this round.

Anyway, the call of nature was so urgent had to take care of business before I left the house. Drank a bottle of water. When I got to work I drank 2 more bottles of water. All to no avail. Told them I had a lunch appointment at 11am. At 10am they had someone from the drug screening company pick me up and drive me to the drug collection headquarters. They snipped some of my hair and put it in an envelope and wrote my name on it. Then took me back to my car at work. Evidently, couldn't be out of the screener's sight until they got a sample of either urine or hair.

Was able to make my Lunch appointment despite the drug screening.
