Mornin' all. It is above 0* today and that's all I have to say about our weather.

We went to a concert on Saturday. Em was first trombone in honors band. We went to eat afterwards and everyone had good food except mom. Again. She seems to always get the short end of the stick when she gets steak. Of course, she ordered a tenderloin over prime rib to save a dollar and ordered hers medium.

Em gets to play bass for pops concert and they are playing Crazy Train. She is upset because it is in B flat.

The computer finally spit out a Tiff file after 7 days. That sucker is 35 GIG. That is a big ol tiff file. Now I have to tweak it some in Photoshop. That might take some time.

Sounds like your schedule is set for the next few minutes. Can you imagine working on a file that size ten years ago. You could nap between enhancements.

In next few years you will be able to do it on your watch. However since Apple moved to Intel processors the speeds stopped increasing by leaps and bounds and they just started adding more cores.

Not on mine. My distance vision is still good, but I couldn't do detail work on a screen the size of a watch. Let me know when they have built in projectors or high res contacts.

That's basically why I don't have one of those Apple Watch things...couldn't read it. Wear a watch with the day/date on it and know it's not correct cause I can see it to set it.

Camber has brought or caught one of every kind of wild creature including an opossum except for a skunk. She brought a dose of spray in twice. Pepper being only a year old has only brought me small snakes and lizards so far. She is pretty keen on chasing anything that moves.

Our dogs dream of catching a squirrel. They were crushed and sad when we had to cut down the tree in the back yard that the squirrel used to come hang out in. Reuben, our male would not even go out back for a week.

Ten years ago no one had a hard drive big enough to even hold the job. It was not until just a few years ago I had a 30 Gig hard drive. Much less the space for the files needed for an OS and the scratch files.

I remember my first 10 gig drive was huge to me at the time.

My first hard drive was 20 Megabytes. My current external drive is 4 Terabytes.

Somebody that is not very good at math is posting about the big lottery.
1.3 billion divided by 300 million people does not give each person 4.3 million dollars. Instead it is $433 dollars.

The only thing less likely odds wise than winning the lottery is shuffling a deck of cards and getting the cards in the same order twice. You are more likely to be killed by a vending machine, hit by a meteorite, or struck by lightening.

The "laws of on-line ordering" were proven once again today.

The more one needs or wants an order, the slower it arrives and conversely and most important, the less you care if it take 3 months or more the faster it arrives.

On Saturday I had to empty the trash compactor. We use it to smash the aluminum cans. Once I have 5 cubes of compacted cans I can drive to just east of downtown OKC which is a 12 mile round trip. Sell the cans and eat at a fast food restaurant with the profits and pay for the cost of the trip.

I store the smashed cans in the storage building next to the lawn mower and other garden crap.

I needed more compactor bags so I found them on Amazon and ordered in a batch. I still have one of the old bags so I am likely OK for 6 months or so. I knew if I waited I would forget and be out so I ordered them on Amazon on Saturday about 4:00 PM, just standard free shipping and it arrived this morning.

If it was a part that was vital and I ordered it with priority shipping it would be lost and not get here for a week.

Remember dating a girl in HS that her Dad let us have all the money from recycling his beer cans. We took a pickup camper packed full of trash bags full of smashed tallboy cans and we got $8.00. I was making $2.50 an hour at the time so it was a pretty good haul! That was in the late 70's. Never saw the man without a tallboy either in his hand or setting beside him.

Oh, I remember in my young and single days I collected my beer cans and stomped them as flat as possible. I had my little 914 so I packed it as full as possible and used a little trailer as well. I had to stand in line for almost an hour and finally got my cash and it was like 4 bucks. I did not recycle cans again until the trash compactor was left in the garage by the previous owners. It was not working so I fixed it with a little bit of bending a micro switch contact.

With the compactor it makes a decent low effort bale. Each bale is about $4 at current prices. With 5 bales I can get a "free" lunch in Bricktown at most any of the lunch places.

The other choice is to give them to the city for free recycling.

They had a big refrigerator in their garage full of Tallboys. Her Dad aways crushed them and threw them in a garbage bag. When the bag was full he threw it in the back of the camper. It was one of those cab over pickup campers that the rear bumper was extended way out for the super long camper shell. Don't remember just how many bags were in it, but it was full to the top, even the bed over the cab. Remember him being surprised we got so much for it.

Funnest part I remember was using the camper after we got all the beer cans out of it.

I bet that camper shell smelled BAD with a bunch or rancid beer cans in it.

Think the bags were sealed or something cause that's not the smell I remember.

Evening Y'all,
Beth went on a rampage for a couple of years recycling everything and it was rather annoying, I finally convinced her to stop doing it when the trash guy told her he empties his truck at a sorting facility No need for me to have to deal with that crap any longer.
