Rigged up my door bell. The old button beside the front door now triggers the wireless button. There are 3 wireless ringers. One in each end of the hallways (each end of the house) and one I can put in the garage or take outside when grillin an chillin. Kinda different. When you ring the doorbell each ringer has an electronic bing bong, bing bong. They don't all go off at the same exact time so it's kind of a bing bong cacophony. Still much better than the old chimes that sound just like the doorbells they use on tv shows and commercials.

Besides, how many times do you get to use the word cacophony.

Stijn!!

Yea, good word.

I got the oil changed and front end lubed on the Elky. Then I went digging in the attic for old negatives from the Porsche Club. We are having the 50 years as a club party on the 29th of March. I know I have a bunch of negatives I took over the years but I did not find them. I did find a large trash can full of stuff going to the curb. A few treasures but lots of crap.

Yeah, need to go thru and de-crappify my attic and the rest of my house to go with it.

We went to a local breakfast place this morning for breakfast strangely enough. Then off to the grocery store. The breakfast place is funny in that there are so many regulars there. Customers that know the staff and the staff know the customers. They hug and just order the regular.

Made a list of things I would like to do to my house...It's going to take a long time to tick off that list unless somebody gives me a winning lottery ticket.

BTDT, Richard. Actually, still doing it to a lesser extent.

We just got back from bombing around the countryside in the 964 garage queen. Nice afternoon in the mid-60s here, warmer inland.

70°F today, cloudy though and they are saying Strong thunderstorms with high winds, hail, and maybe tornados this evening.

Sounds like Spring has sprung to me.

Morning all. Another windy day. 35 MPH gusts. The storms seem to go north and south of us, or for sure the rain.

Just think Rick, after 5 days they let give you a paycheck and don't charge you to hang out there. With the taxes I pay the government is for sure my partner. They never help out but they sure line up to take a big chunk of my money.

So you are being held hostage for only two days. Are you getting off for good behavior or something?

Downtown SF is fun to walk around in. It makes one feel down right normal compared to the locals. It is a neat place to visit but I am sure gland I don't have to live there.

From what I hear almost all the police, firefighters, and city employees can't afford to live there.

I do remember in 1967 going down to Haight-Ashbury area. We were moving from Oklahoma to Hawaii and I had never heard of a hippy. I looked up the word in our Encyclopedia Britannica year book and the definition was "One who is hip" which did not help me much. When I saw them in person I just knew they were quite different and it did not appeal to me at all. We shopped in the poster shops and walked around a bit.

It should be fun. Connor and I will be there for 2.5 days without mom. We will attempt to stay out of trouble. There is some prison on an island He wants to see. Then who knows what we might wander into.

If you want to get out to Alcatraz is is good to call a tour company ahead of time to reserve a ticket. They sell out fast. You can get a boat ride around the island but to get on the island they restrict the total number of "guests" per day. Too much demand and not enough space.

Think that island prison thing is called Alcatraz.

Last time I was in SF was at a conference in the Moscone center. It was during Halloween. Now THAT was crazy!
