Golly Gee Willkers, what a fun day!

I got out of the house at 8:15 AM to go play in my garage and work on the anti-freeze replacement. I was not going to bother with an extensive flush, just drain the radiator, replace the thermostat since they are just a few bucks and mine has been acting up. At 8:30 out walks the bosses wife, and starts cracking the whip. So I was "allowed" to shovel four wheelbarrow loads of mulch for her in between my radiator flush party.

Then she decided it was the perfect time for me to wash her Macan. So we did. I will admit, she helped. We got done with that and as we were drying it off my business partner called. His water heater failed and was just gushing water. The drip pan had worked flawlessly and there was no mess, just a water heater that needed to be replaced.

We finished up with getting the Macan all clean, even a vacuum the interior and I got to finish the El Camino refill of antifreeze. The new thermostat is installed and for my test drive off to help my business partner replace a water heater.

I got back home and decided since I was already sweaty I might as well mow and edge the yard. I got done with that and came in and showered. I started the shower at 4:20 PM. Oh and it is 92 degrees outside! I had to turn the central AC on for the first time this year.

Time to drink some of the bosses beer, and sit on my butt.

We had breakfast out on the patio and, in the afternoon, I worked on the 280Z.

Good Monday morning all.

It is nice to butt sit in a comfortable chair and not be doing physical labor outside. I will certainly admit, I NEED more physical labor, and less sitting around but it gets hard to get motivated sometimes.

Dang, it's already 80°F. Supposed to get to 93°F today with temps hitting the 90's the rest of the week. If this keeps up it is going to be a hot one this summer. Need to watch out for the Predator.

Arghhh!

My wife used my laptop and somehow hit the tablet mode. I have never used tablet mode, and the Micosoft Surface is a tablet, with a keyboard attached. Pop off the keyboard or just fold it all the way back and it is a laptop with the keyboard out of the way and works fine with the touch screen. The tablet mode just makes it looks like Win 8 so all the desktop icons are gone.

Changing back to desktop mode is easy, poke the tablet mode icon and select desktop mode. It is easy once I figured out what had happened. I now have it set to not use tablet mode at all. It will not happen again!

We setuo computers at work so people can't change anything. The Help Desk ends up spending less time enabling features than fixing things the users muck up.

Good Morning.

It's 72°F outside. Would be great except it's 7am which means it's going to be on the warm side.
Dropping the GIS off this morning to get the A/C maxed out.

The laptop is my laptop, and I have never even played with tablet mode. I have no doubt a computer set up to use it could be handy. Since I have a keyboard, why bother.

Yea, it is gonna be a hot day again.

Happy Saturday, y’all! I woke up to a rapid, but mild, shaking of our house. It seems that there was a magnitude 4.5 earthquake about 60 miles NE of here this morning. I hope, in the future, the shaking is more of a slow rolling back and forth...better for sleeping.

When I went thru the Golf Balls car seat thing I shopped office chairs while my nerves were irritated and found two that didn't hurt. Have one of each now. Probably not good because I can comfortably sit at my desk for hours.

I figure it is the wrong size cup.

Are we doing a pool for when it gets back?

I have my calendar marked for Friday.

They are:
Making the AC cold. Probly let it leak out when doing motor work.
Replacing the rear hatch latch. Does not open with button only using key.
Replacing the turn signal stalk. Does not auto cancel.
Replacing the rear view mirror. Shakes so bad you can't see anything unless on a smooth roadway or stopped.

The only thing they don't already have is the rear view mirror. If it is back ordered they are giving me the car back until it comes in.

Oh, and their parking lot and bays were full.

Usually turnaround is pretty good if they don't pull the motor.
