Hey, happy hump day!

It is eerily quiet here today. No pounding on the roof! They are done with the roof. Whoo Hooo. They even better news is we did not have to get up at 6:00 AM again. The roofers get here at 7:00 or so I wanted to be up and ready for them.

Our internet went down last night for a while. I could not get online at all, but the Voice of IP phone line worked. That makes no sense to me. I guess TCPIP was working, but DSN was not. Who knows. It came back in under an hour. It was a horrible ordeal, no internet for an hour! It was like going camping or going back in time to the 1980s! I only survived because I am such a tough manly man.

Verizon is down so I can't work. All my logins require MFA.

The VP of IT told me if I had downloaded and was using the Microsoft MFA client it was IP based and would work. Asked him to try it...It don't work either. Verizon's fiber that was cut was more than just cell phones. And more than just verizon stuff. My Crunchyroll streaming provider won't log in either. Also have some web sites that are down as well.

What is worse is driving to the local Verizon store to see what what going on...

Some moron Prius driver going 25 mph in the left lane of a 4 lane 45mph zone got oissed when I passed him on the right going 45. He sped around me, pulled over cutting me off and slammed on his brakes. I laid down on my horn and he flipped me off. Then he slowed back down to 25 and zig zagged across both lanes not letting me around. I pondered just how easily I could replace my $10K Cayenne vs that brand new Prius. When we got to the light I pulled into the left turn lane. He left two car lengths in front of himself so he could stop right beside me. From the previous flippage I assumed he was gesticulating wildly. Instead of looking over, I put on those dark sunglass they gave me that fit over my glasses for cadaracts, smiled real big, and leaned my seat back like I was just relaxing, also raised the suspension on the Cayenne hoping that would pinch a nerve or two. He didn't pull in behind and follow when the turn light changed like I suspected he would. Being a a55hole sure seems a prerequisite for driving a Prius. Image that, someone going the speed limit, the nerve. Freakin gas guzzlers. Or maybe he should have stopped at Starbucks and got some soft of drink I'm sure I couldn't even pronounce.

Oh my, seem the Verizon issue took down the wireless network at work. Something about all the company cell phones being on Verizon. Yikes.

Sure miss our old RC flying field. It got moved to put in a turnpike about the same time I moved into my current house. Now all the flying fields are just too far away except for one and it just has too many trees too close. After the good field moved too far away I got into Autocross and sold all my R/C stuff. Figured if I got back into RC would want new stuff anyway. And I was right, it sure has changed.

Talking to people that hang out at the Model shop a lot of people are doing the park flyer thing now. i am not really a park flyer. Enjoyed the camaraderie of the club field. One old guy build a plane out of cardboard! Interesting. Ugly (no flames), but interesting.

Got into the small copters so could fly in my own home or yard. The biggest I got is 120mm rotor. But heck now they have changed quite a bit as well with all the automated flying and stabilization. Especially the quad copter camera platforms. But where's the challenge if they basically fly themself.

Sid, we have made a couple things out of that foam from GI Joe since he really likes the GI Joe cartoons and the foam is easy to work with. What they do't tell you is that stuff warps after a while.

Richard, there are some nice electric helos you could fly in your yard. They are on the small side but fly well.

Hey we are over the hump and on the downhill slide to the weekend.

Another hot day in OKC. We took the mean bosses wife's Macan to the detail guy. He was impressed how good of shape it was for a car that was a year old and he went all out on it. It looks really shiny and purdy. He mentioned again that we took phenomenal car of it. I did say we have no kids, no one eats in it, and I have a El Camino to haul "stuff" so it is not used to haul crap. He even asked if we ever drove it in the rain. Yea, many times. But we wash it and dry it properly.

Well I am sitting at home in shorts, tee shirt, no shoes listing to Pandora in my air conditioned office. My commute to work was under 10 seconds of walking.

I am mostly wasting time proving to a customer that their idea is stupid and will not work. I am making files that are 15GB instead of 1.5 GB because of the resolution, and the extra resolution is pointless for their project, but hey its their money.
