Emily has a nice set of BT earbuds since she keeps breaking the wired ones.

I use a set of studio over the ears to listen to music to play guitar or drums with. I bought Jenny a nice Sennheiser noise canceling over the ears set because earbuds bother her ears.

We just got one. He used to work for the "Museum of the Bible."

We have three calendars and our help desk software to schedule department projects on. Most of the stuff I do it takes longer to put it on the calendars than it does to actually do it. AND because we have rogue people doing things they are not supposed to, we have to schedule then get items approved before we can do anything.

Would like to replace my old Sony BT headphones with some noise cancelling ones. However, living and working from home by myself there just doesn't seem necessary right now. It's pretty quiet. And can just put my stereo/tv on whatever I want to listen to. However, if that quacking duck doesn't go away soon I am going to have to do something!

I bought some stupid expensive Bose headphones for the airplane. The BOSE on the side of them and the built in noise canceling and the fact that they are for "aviation" pushed the price up over a grand. They sure are nice when I hit the button for noise canceling. The drone of the airplane just vanishes. I can talk to the pilot easily.

The Bose I borrowed when I moved my sister from Harlingen TX to Rolla Mo worked great flying down to Harlingen. But sucked getting rid of the noise in the cab of the U-Haul moving truck I drove for her. Driving that U-Hual truck pulling a trailer with a car on it 1050 miles was not an enjoyable drive at all.

Good Morning Stijn posters and lurkers!

In this neck of the woods it is currently 73°F and sunny. The humadity is 73% and a slight 4mph breeze. It is expected to get into the very low 90's reaching the 90 degree mark around 3pm. A few patchy clouds may roll in around 1pm. If you have anything to do outside, this morning would be a good time to get it done. Don't be like my 80 yo brother and try to get your walking in during the hottest part of the day. He has almost suffered a heat stroke a couple of times this summer.

Oh man, the mean boss is mad. I was 30 minutes late getting to my office. Mrs. Carrera decided "we" needed to stir up and mix the compost tub contents with the pile on the ground and the one in the bottomless trash can. Yea, we have three different compost piles. Got that finished and then we needed to clean the filters on the koi pond. I finally got into my office and was delayed 30 minutes in getting to the Pelican site.

Glen the HR dept wants to see you about why you are always late on compost day. Better think up a good excuse or better yet bring the boss some of his favorite beer.

Morning all.

My HR department is banished to Phoenix, AZ in a trailer house with no AC. They and the entire IT department are stuck there until September and then I am sending them Somalia for a few months before sending them to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for the winter.

I always thought the winter hotbed was Greenland. Cold and no women.

You don't think HR being so remote would come up with even more crazy stuff?

Next year is Boca Raton, Florida. It is a suburb of Miami. I have been watching the weather. It us usually a few degrees cooler than this year's location.

The 2020 Parade is set for Palm Springs, CA. It was 115 there the other day. I just can't imagine why they would hold it in the middle of the dessert in the middle of summer. I guess they are trying to find a place hotter than Charleston, SC in August. The folks in unconditioned cars cars are gonna die in 115 degree heat.

I just looked at this week's forecast for Palm Springs. 119 for the high tomorrow. That is insane.

I know one friend that has a vacation home in that area. They said they only go in the winter. He said by June the place is mostly empty.
