Yet another rainy morning. If I let the environmental conditions affect my mental state it would be down right depressing. Hey it is August and it's not 300°, so...
Good Morning! Had a BIL that the amount of sun majorly effected his mood. Some kind of brain chemical thing. Not enough sun and he got super depressed. Had a sun lamp he sat under to watch TV and read on cloudy days. They moved from Rolla MO to Harlingen TX because there are a lot more sunny days in Harlingen.

Happy hump day everyone. We got almost 1/2 of an inch overnight. Down by the airport they got over five and half inches. Since the record book is based on the rainfall at the airport, that is the "official" rain total. It was weird watching the radar last night. A storm would gather and get larger and start moving our way, and as it got close it would either just fall apart and dissipate, or split and go north and south of us. We were happy to get zero hair and destructive winds, and just gentle rain, we just really wanted more rain but we will take what we can get. They had two little bitty F0 or possible F1 tornadoes over close to the airport where we keep our airplane. THey lasted about 30 seconds and were gone.
We picked up the rebuilt prop yesterday. I honestly looks brand new. They strip all the coatings off, and get the parts to bare metal. They use a dye florescent test to check for cracks in the hub and check all the measurements. Then have the plated parts replated, repaint the forged aluminum hub with a powder coat. Repaint the three blades and balance it all. It is ready for the mechanic to put it back on. It is considered to be a zero time prop now.  This is the top of the engine with the cowling off. In the middle of the photos is a 110 volt plug for the hybrid electric motor.  Well OK its for the block heater. The cylinders are actually painted likely powder coated. The case is as well. The little yellow cap is the oil fill. It does not have far to go to be inside the case.

morning all. I wish we had rain. Yes the guy from the PNW said that. We have an air stagnation thing going with lots of smoke from the fires out here. Breathing is over rated right now.

Oh great. Network admin is asking for login info for our DNS hosting. He wants to put it in their database. I changed it because every time they keep that login stuff the host files someone get screwed up. I changed it the last time because the host file for out main domain got deleted!

A kid duct taped a couple of cardboard tubes with caps on them together and left it leaning against the wall outside. Police got called and they brought out the bomb squad. Didn't see anything that made it look like a Star Wars toy.
