Anymore it seems like people need a dash cam that runs on a loop like a security cam for accident blame protection.

I never liked having an in-dash nav unit. It’s in the wrong place. I use a Garmin unit stuck onto the windshield in a spot that I’m more comfortable wth. The only thing I use the radio for is audio entertainment and Bluetooth connectivity for my phone. Hands-free for me.

Used my iPhone with a window mount at dash top level and the program MotionX a few times. It was pretty good. Any more its just to easy to ask siri, make sure it's got the correct destination, then just put it back in my shirt pocket, and listen to the directions.

Most of the time, I do the Porsche thing and...Pull up maps on my computer and make sure I know where the heck I'm going before I ever get in the car. To me, just following NAV all the time is like stopping and asking for directions, negative man card points unless she sounds really sexy.

I don't remember anyone's phone number though.

Glen, checkout the new Clarion radios. They are making some that are intended to blend in the interior asthetics of 80s and 90s but still have all the moderns goodies.

Thanks Sid.

The forecast for today a few days ago was several inches of snow. The reality, dry cold weather. I like that a million times better than any ice.

Thought I actually saw a snowflake or two, but could have just been someone's dandruff. Not freezing, but darned close, iPhone says 34°F

Those double wall aluminum beverage containers work great.

Put some ice and pop in one to have with lunch, left it on the counter, decided to eat out and went to run errands. Got back a couple of hours and the pop had turned to slushie! And yes I have heat in my house.

The other day I filled one with ice, no liquid, got busy, left it sitting on the counter ALL DAY. Went to use it that evening, saw the ice and thought great I can drink some ice cold, melted ice water. But noooo, after being out all day it didn't melt a drop. Must melt at the evaporation rate.

Got a couple of the 20oz from Walmart cause they are smaller around hoping they would fit in the Cayenne drink holders better than that 30oz Yeti...and didn't want to always be drinking out of a big gulp. But they are still just a little big to fit in the drink holders in the Cayenne. Don't understand all the paper, plastic, and styrofoam go cups from everywhere fit em fine. Must be some kind of insulated cup conspiracy.

We went to a Christmas party at a friends house last night. The home owner has a new house and he planned it to have room for a shop building in the back. It is a tall metal building with a really nice painted floor, and insulated walls. Very nice. He will have s lift as soon as his bank account fills up some after a new house and shop building. All the guys were jealous. Super nice guy that has worked hard to get where he is.

He has a history of fixing up and flipping the houses about every 4 years. Does upgrade to better every time though! Pretty much does the same with cars only more often, hence the workshop garage. Yep, heck of a nice guy. He was working for att as a uverse installer and wired my house ethernet in about 15 minutes free!

Went to our company Christmas diner last night. They give gifts for milestone anniversaries. 3 years ago for my 35th I got a set of 9 Dewalt battery power tools. Every one of the 857 employees got a $700 Christmas gift even if you were hired as soon last Monday.

Talked to Brutha Bob yesterday. He is home by himself from rehab with is fractured lumbar. Says he can't move from his couch and has to put on what he calls a straight jacket to get up to use the facilities and it is painful. His social worker says he needs to change insurance to get any home care. She sent the police to check on him. They did not have him hauled back to the hospital, and will start checking on him.

He now remembers he gave the guy that owns the property where he crashed the key to his car and supposedly they exchanged contact information. He can't find the paper with the guy's info. Also somehow can't check his email or phone message to see if the guy has tried to contact him. Sounds like he thinks he needs to answer each email, call, or text before going to the next and can only sit up for about 15 minutes at a time. Says he reported the car to the police and they are looking for it as a lost vehicle, not stolen. He does not know were it was that he wrecked and can't ride in a car because of the pain to see if he can find it.

Going to call Sunbeam Family Services and see if they or someone like them in Tulsa can help him. They couldn't help much for Mom because I was here taking care of her. But, the first thing they did was have a Social Worker come check on her and evaluate her situation. He already has a social worker and I think they know what can be done and the services available to help.

Nieces oldest graduated college with an engineering degree last night, magum come loudly or something like that, top of his class. Kinda interesting he has been working since HS as a hand at a dude ranch. He is the 2nd of that brothers grandkids to graduate. The other was from West Point and he flies Black Hawks now.

I've got a buddy lined up to drive me down to get that truck in two weeks. I'm really hoping it's still available. I'd drop kick a nun on Easter Sunday, in the Vatican, for a manual diesel Rover

I have no qualms with causing an international incident.

Thanks. I didn't take it one of the directors did during rehearsals. He was sick as a dog this weekend but got three shows in and then took a very long nap.
