I think I’d cut that section out and put it back with glue joints. Wouldn’t trust those compression fittings under a slab.

Phew, just be glad you don't have a mean boss like me that makes you get up at 6:00 AM to go wash and detail the bosses' wife's car. Then he made me mow the yard again. Of course after all the fertilizer I had to put down it is growing like crazy.

Last night right about 10:00 PM our male Dachshund, Rubin came back in the house really stinky from the stink of skunk.

I don't think it was a full hit, as it was really a strong concentrated gunsmoke, or burned plastic type of stink. We locked him in the laundry room, and and I went to look in the back yard. There was no sign of a skunk, and no odor at all in the yard. I came back in and it was for sure in the house, from the dog. So I made a mad dash to the local Target that is open until 11:00 PM to get a quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide and some baking soda. Mix that with liquid soap, and scrub the dog down in the laundry room sink. Then some regular dog shampoo. It seems to do the magic.

This morning I went out back in the daylight and no sign of a skunk, no stink from a spray, no evidence at all. Rubin was allowed in the back yard, and he is acting like nothing in the back yard but routine stuff.

So a skunk or some critter came in the back yard, came over or through the fences, sprayed just the dog, and did not leave a trace, and flew off. At least we don't have a skunk under the storage building or in the back yard. I just wonder how he got so stinky.

The good news is H2O2 is and baking soda is cheap.

Maybe just reinforce the garage and when the big one hits and you have beach front property you can keep the boat in it.

We had a few small earthquakes in the past, and I think the strongest was a 5.5. It is a weird feeling to have the solid ground move beneath your feet. I saw on news report where a news reporter asked the expert if these little quakes will lessen the chance for a major earthquake. The answer, NO, there is a 100% chance of a major earthquake hitting very soon.

We’ve had a few minor ones that I felt since retiring. The last good one I experienced was in Wash DC. If I crank up the way back machine to the 1970s, I experienced a number of weak to moderate EQs while being stationed in CA with the Navy.

I keep a jug of Nature's Miracle on the shelf in the garage for odor emergencies.
Camber was the back yard skunk defender. She got hit 3 times. Never found any smell in the yard, Not going to test skunk accuracy if I can help it.

The second time Camber got past me at the door before I noticed the smell. She ran straight in and got on Mom's bed. ßhe stunk up the living room carpet, halway, and Mom's carpet and bed. Mom couldn't smell it, stroke side effect, loss of smell. Took a day off work and cleaned house and dog with Nature's miracle. Then invited some people over. Figured I got used to the odor. They didn't smell a thing.

Pepper has not had a run in with a skunk yet. All three times Camber got hit it was first thing of a morning before I left for work. Glad it wasn't while I was at work since Mom couldn't smeill.

Just got a spam advertisig Porsche Selection stuff, it is all in French. It does all look like real Porsche Selection items and advertises to go to their physical store.

They got a black nylon collar and leash with Porsche on the collar buckle and tag on the leash for only $100. Yikes.

Insurance adjuster called and said to put the Cayenne in the body shop and they would inspect it when the body shop has the taken it apart so they can get the hidden damage. Don't know if that is good or bad. If they total it found a 2006 the same color/options and a few lower miles for $13K at a dealer. Would want to keep my wheels to put on the replacement. I like em. They were aftermarket 22in wheels back in 2005 and are difficult to find.

In the reviews on Google of skunk smell removal the one that was claimed the best, was the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) at 3% and baking soda. It is less than 2 bucks to make up assuming you have some liquid soap around the house.

I do not want to have to smell test them. When we go outside, for a while and come back in, we don't smell any skunk. I think it is fixed up. I just am amazed there is no trace of stink in the back yard. I guess it all hit the dog.

When supervisor of graphic arts had some company mouse pads made. The were smooth vinyl. The PC users complained so made some wth cloth. When I got the PC they gave me their current company mouse pad. It is smooth plastic. Finally dug into my company swag boxes and got one of the cloth topped pads. Will say the PC's mouse tracks much better on the cloth topped pad than the smooth plastic. The all the pictures of products on the current smooth pad make the cursor jump around as well.

When I asked my boss about it he even told me the mostly solid cloth pads worked the best and to go buy one and the company would re-imberse me.

Why are they printing, using, and giving away mouse pads that people with PC's are NOT going to use?

I never knew there was a difference in mouse pads surfaces between Mac and Windows. My current mouse works on glass or and flat surface.

Well, the PC is a cheap Dell that is the same speed as my 4 year old Mac laptop.
The keyboard and mouse are the cheapest Logitech you can get as well.
Neither are very good compared to the Apple stuff I am used to.

Virtual Windows running on my mac laptop is faster than the Dell PC even though they are the same speed processors and win10 is running as a virtual computer on the mac.

Doing the same work using the same programs takes 2 times longer on this PC.
And can't automate tasks on the PC because bash and powershell scripts won't run due to the company anti-virus software.

Ok, so you are comparing a Dell low end computer that cost 1/2 or less the price of a Mac, and one the IT department does not let you operate as the real administrator. Kinda like most Macs with the velvet collar that controls the end user options on hardware changes or customization.
Easier for the IT department, screws the power user.
