Only this style of weights!

I dropped off my ties and wheels. It has been so long since I have been in to them I had to be added to the computer. They have worked on my 914 that I sold in 1996. And they worked on my 911 once right after I bought it in 1995. It is just rare that I don't work on it myself. And they are not real convenient to get to.

Downtown OKC is still changing a lot. The old I-40 went through a major swath of downtown area. The interstate was moved a 1/2 or so south and the old I-40 was removed. They are building OKC blvd in it's place and it is nice an wide. It is still getting finished. The part that is open is 25MPH and from what I hear, cops are writing tickets all the time, and of course their headquarters is right in the area so lots of cops to see speeders. Hopefully once it is all open it will go to 35 or 40 MPH.

It is mostly between mouse manufacturers. Some work well on any surface, but if you are buying the cheap ones, you need a cloth surface. Even the fancy 3M precision pads don't work with the cheap mice.

One of the first dell non ball mouse I had would not read on a plain colored surface. Like say a desktop.

Dang, the shop that had Richard's 928 for several years doing a engine rebuild is the place mounting my tires. The tires are mounted. I will go pick em up after lunch.

I have a friend that does. He makes custom shot for trap shooting with them. He hits all his clays and everyone asks what he uses and he then sells his custom loads. they still can't out shoot him, but they do improve their scores. Something about the composition makes them work well. They deform less or something.

I still have my first mouse in my closet. It is a Microsoft brand mouse, with two big green buttons, and the wide 25 pin serial port. It has a huge steel ball and it was made in Japan, and says Patent Pending. I got it for "free" with a copy of Windows 386 which was released in May 27, 1988. It was a real pig on my 386 computer with just one megabyte of RAM and a 36 MB full size hard drive.

I bet if I bought a serial to USB and then a serial 9 pin to 25 pin converter it would work, maybe if the mouse driver is generic enough. I don't think I will try.

Somehow, I can imagine they'll find reasons to hang on to your tires for a few months.

Called the really good 928 mechanic guy north of Dallas. Has 17 cars booked and 24 on a wait list. Says he is booked into next year. Yikes, that's why I had a local porsche shop do my piston drilling. In restrospect, it would have been finish faster, and better if I would had waited for the Dallas guy.

Hey it has steel for balls (well, just one BIG one) but after 31 years it has not started stinking or causing any issues. Now the copy of Windows 386 I have did indeed stink, even when new!

I still have my original 5.25 floppy disc for Compaq DOS 2.1 as well. That is even older.

Somewhere I've got a copy of a program called Bottle Caps. It was the first program written for the Mac. It would make windows that you could name, move around, resize or minimize down to just the menu bar and delete. Demonstrated the windows interface. It ran on all macs until the OS went to intel processor only applications. Which is actually pretty amazing.

My first mouse was from 1986. Came with my Amiga. I even painted it like the marketing one.
