Mertnin,
Gots no pictures of my current daily driver. Despite it being a Porsche. The color is Iceland Silver Metallic.

I have eleventy gazillion pictures of my 911 and a few dozen of my El Camino and a few of the Macan.
I even found a few pictures of my old 1973 VW bug I bought new. ![]() This is from July of 1973.

Actually the VW was a beige. I did not care what color it was, I was shopping price, and it was discounted. $2,500 brand new. After a year, and 12,000 miles I traded it back to the same dealer and got 2 grand for it on my 914.
The 914 was a special order, and I knew exactly what I wanted. I would have loved a Gulf Blue but that was a special paint to order and almost doubled the price. Olympia Blue was as close as I could get. If I had a time machine I wish I could have my 911 made from new in Gulf Blue, with no sunroof. I am not sure how I could convince the first owner to get it that way. He was an airline pilot is all I have heard.

Anxious to see what my new fridge is like. It is a cheap one. Supposed to get here at 3pm today.
Wow, over an hour of physical therapy really wears me out.

Maybe that driver hadn't been to bed yet.
Snow and rain here today.

You never know about Aubergine drivers. Just full of surprises.
![]() Sunny here, after starting out fogged in. Happy Saturday! I kind of wish I still had a longhood 911 (or 912). They are fun as hell.

Well, the yucky Saturday for some that was yesterday.
We just made out regular run to Sam's for fruit. Walk in and nod to lady at the door she is the same one that has seen us many times. Go load up the cart, scan as we load it, slide a bar to pay, walk towards the door, and show the same lady my phone app with a code on it. She scans it, and scans one object in the cart, my phone beeps done withing a few milliseconds of her scanning the apples. We walk out. The lady at the door is the same one we have seen over the last couple of years so she knows us. She likely thinks of us as the fruity couple. I did say thanks, and she said have a good day. No lines no waiting. Welcome to the future of shopping. Much like the Amazon stores that I have read about. It beats the heck out of the Super Target not too far from our house. They have 35 lanes to check out, and never ever more than one register open, and the line is always long. They have 9 or 10 self service registers, but I have seen that with a line to get to use them. I would not doubt Target has an app, but they lost my business long ago with under-staffing issues.

A lot of stores now have home delivery service or you can use one that shops several stores. It costs 6 to 8 bucks including tipping the shopper/delivery driver. It used to take me an hour to go to the store, shop, and go back home. Now just fill out my list in about 10 minutes. It is typically delivered within 2 hours. And they don't leave your stuff on your porch so you don't have to worry about porch pirates. And don't fall victim to in-store impulse buys.
Use one called instacart. They have several stores. They used to do Walmart. Now Walmart delivers itself and instacart replaced them with Target. It has been wonderful since having the stroke and not being able to get out because of the accident. I will say restaurant delivery is more expensive. Like the extra expense of Pizza delivery. Makes more economic sense to order online then pick up myself so it is ready when I get there.

Will be interesting to see how much less electricity I use with the new fridge. Think the old one limping along was using a LOT.

New fridge will be much more efficient.
For buying frozen or packaged items, a buying service might be fine. I eat a lot of fruit. I would be skeptical of someone else's picking out the good bananas or apples or grapes. I am a self admitted lazy bum, but I always park at the far end of a parking lot for door ding protection, and walk the distance to the store. I never use a drive through, I always get out of my car from the far end of the lot, and go inside. It ain't much more exercise, but it some. I am almost ready for summer to start mowing the yard again.

We have used the "pick up" service from WalMart for frozen and canned goods. We get our fruit at Aldi's and meat at a local store.
We had snow, rain, sleet and finally freezing rain yesterday. 9* tomorrow and in the 40s by Saturday. Bipolar weather. We bought salt for the softener that is supposed to help keep the iron out of the beads. We had to put the unit to extra long rinse. Will use the extra bag on the gravel with all the ice.

Was afeared of that when I started using shoppers. But they have been really good at picking out the stuff I like. Can put a note on each thing, like asking for well marbled steaks, fruits that arent bruised or too green, etc. They done real good so far.
The only problem I had so far is once they got those Mega rolls of toilet paper. They are too big around to fit on my rollers.

I got to make a mad dash to the airport. My business partner was ready to fly a couple of missions, and forgot one critical part of one of the the mounts. So I went to his house, grabbed the part, and drove out there. He was mounting two cameras on the airplane. It looks really cool, with dual cameras. One is our normal operating system which points down. The other camera is a prototype for the camera manufacturer we work with. It has a really cool rotating head for the camera. We can set up a line to fly, like a pipeline or any easement line, and just fly along and the camera keeps pointing at the line so the pilot can just fly along the path on the laptop. It works for road inspections as well. It is really a way to inspect the easement or roadway and not for real mapping. It might be a entire new market for us.
It will be interesting to see the final output from the systems.

It's money I wasn't spending a few months ago before the old fridge started making noises and running warmer.
