Get off my lawn!

We were gone long before the rains came. It was not a big turnout so it went fast. We even did a total of 10 runs each instead of the normal 8.

Our garage doesn't collect leaves but does collect a ton of dog hair. We have bunk beds for the dogs out there. We have let them in but the lab then asks to go out there to sleep and the beagle has to be with her so he sleeps out there too. He gets the top bunk.

Our dogs sleep in their bed, on the floor, next to our bed.
Our short hair male dachshund is the only dog I have ever heard of that does not like to go for a walk. He hates a leash and he knows we keep the leash by the door in the garage. He will rarely go in the garage. Our female loves walks like most dogs and she will go check that the leash is ready if we let her out there.

Ours love walks, but not on a leash. The lab has gotten better though. When we first got her she would chew the harness off. She loves going to the dog beach, being a lab and all and that beagle tolerates it. My old beagle loved the water and you had a hard time keeping him out of it.

Our Schnauzer thinks water is the worst thing imaginable. Except in a bowl. Nutty dog.

Current golden, Pepper, doesn't know she can swim yet. When I get in better health need to take her to my brother's farm house and introduce her to the pond.
Did that for Camber, my last golden, But. Just let her wade out instead of introducing her where the bank is steep. She never learned to jump into the water, only wade. She actually ran to where she could wade in, then swam to the bumper. Taught my first golden, Penny, where the bank was steep. Threw a bumper a little farther and farther away from the bank. She eventually had to jump far enough she couldn't touch the bottom. Went under water and came right up the bank. The first time the bumper was too far for her to basically turn and run up the bank she swam around in circles. You could see her thinking oh that's too far, then wait I'm not touching the botton and turn around, then oh it's too far. She went in cirlcles about 8 times, then she got the bumper and swam back. After that she ran and jumped into the water, even from a dock. Really amazing to watch her realize and trust that she could swim. Hope I can get Pepper to jump.

My parents rented a place at the lake in Alabama for several years. The had one female bulldog that was never really bright, but a great b i t c h and good bulldog mother. The cabin had no AC, but lots of shade and flow through breeze. The dog would get hot, and just walk down to the end of the pier, and jump in the water. She floated like a rock. More than a few neighbors freaked out when she did not surface and swim to shore. A few seconds later, she would climb up the beach area. She just walked along the lake bed. She was cooled off and happy.
We just made another trip to Sam's for a fruit run. I wanted a case of the blue shop towels for my garage, so I went down the cleaning products aisle. They had huge holes in the shelves and not one bottle of Clorox, or any disinfectants, or cleaning wipes. They had signs up that limited the buying to 2 gallons per person. It was time to buy a batch of t-paper for us anyway. That was in good supply. The fruit was well stocked and I even got some Sumo oranges. Yum!

My maid stops at the dollar store and brings me cheap stuff from there. TP, Sodas, socks, cleaners, etc.
All they had left on their shelves yesterday was mega rolls of TP. So she got me some. They are too big around for my rollers. Will have to get a roller extenders. So much for the bigger rolls being cheaper.

My GTS showed up on Facebook this evening for 90K.
It was posted to the 928 group. Surprised that they didn't rip it apart. They usually pick for sale cars apart. Instead, they posted about wishing they had the money. Any how much they liked the car.

It is for sure the halo 928, all the right options and the right model.
We have a project that the client wants flown before leaf on for the trees, and here is is pretty much mid March. Out Bradford Pear trees are past full bloom, and starting to turn green. The client put down the ground control targets yesterday and gave us the official "GO" yesterday afternoon. Of course we had perfect flying weather yesterday. It is solid overcast today, and a partly cloudy forecast for tomorrow. And then a week of clouds and rain. If they had been just a few days faster I would be processing the project now. I just hope we can get it flown before the leaves are all on the trees. Not much we can do about that.

Oh boy, get to be re-evaluated today for my physical therapy. Next week the therapist is leaving to do PT for the armed services. Don't think I am progressing much, he follows me out to the car every visit and am sure he is watching how unstable I am. Has made the comment that he is surprized I am driving. It is a mile and a half between home and physical therapy. Usually fall asleep for an hour right after getting home, usually just after sitting at my computer to work.

Ah, the cone of shame!
It seems some idiot in Utah that plays a silly game with a large ball and other freakishly tall men decided to travel with the team to the center of Oklahoma City, and expose his team, the other team, all the refs and coaches. Hopefully the fans in the stands are not contaminated. One of my contractors was at the non-game (it was canceled) and he will be coming over here today to pick up some equipment to fly a project for us. All because of some silly game played with a large ball.

Understand the contagen can stay alive on metal for 8 hrs. And carriers can spread 10 ft away via air before it falls to the ground. As long as the contractor didn't get within that range of someone infected you should be good.
With my current health odds are more favorable towards not surviving an infection.

Dad gummed surveyors and their tiny targets!
I am working on a project for a survey company. They set the targets on the ground and give us the precise X,Y & Z readings. Of course they want the project done for cheap, so we do it at a 6 inch pixel resolution to fit the customer specifications. I am pretty sure they used a couple of 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper as the targets. Tape the 2 pieces together on the corner in a diagonal way and presto, a tiny little target I am supposed to find. So I have to zoom in to to the pint the target is a 8 pixel blob. per side. Gee thanks.

Oh boy, my phone, my AppleTV remote, and mouse all say they are getting low and need recharged. I only have one charge cord setup. In 3 years this is the only time they have all gotten low at once.

Really?
I have two charging cords in my office, at the computer. One is plugged into the monitor, and hence the computer so I will work to back up the phones to the computer. The other is plugged into a power strip that runs the phone, router and modem. That power strip has several USB charging ports. I have three cables in my laptop travel bag that get used only on trips. My wife has her charging cords in the living room and the bedroom. Two in both rooms.

afternoon all. It has been a week. The break was short lived and so will this one be. Since Sunday I have corrected some 1000 piping ISO drawings with more to come.

Golly that sounds like work! Yuck.
Speaking of work, the program I use to make the orthophotos has a bunch of steps. It shows my what it is doing step by step so I know it is not locked up and really doing something. One of the steps that makes me grin every time I see it is "Computing Uncertainty". How certain is it that the uncertainty is precisely calculated? And if it is certain, why not figure out how to make it less uncertain! I want precision not uncertainty! ![]() It is pretty amazing the math needed to figure out just where the camera was and if the camera is pointing straight down, or off to a side due to the wings not being level. And then calculate that all those photos shot at 100 MPH showing a particular spot on the ground, and the placement of each pixel of the image needs to be shifted one way or the other and how to calculate the height of a hill, the depth of a ditch or hole, and make it fit to the targets.
