You could send a 30GB file, theoretically, if his server supports files of that size and you are using a proper client and not the browser based one. I think browser based SFTP limits you to just over 1GB.

Most of the time something chokes with a file much bigger than 2 GB. If there is an error, start over.
With a lot of smaller files if there is an error, just resend that one file. It still boggles my mind. We subscribe to the loacal newspaper on-line. I download the regular paper and it is 25 MB as an average. My first hard drive was just 10 MB. Transferring gigabytes of data is just routine now. And everyone complains about how slow it is. I remember being elated to download one MB in "just" 12 minutes. Now I get 900 MB per minute download speed in theory. I have yet to come across a web site feeding out data that fast.

Anyone that complains should have to live with a 300 baud acoustical modem for a month and no smart phone.

I just was forced to drive the 911. It is high 80s out there, and beautiful weather. I have not been able to check the oil level in the 911 all winter, I could not get the oil temp up enough to get the thermostat to send oil up front. It finally got warmed up today. Oil level was down a bit as I suspected, but with so much oil in the system it was well within safe limits.
I went to the curvy road. It has at least 6 turns! One of them is fairly sharp, but it is a 45 MPH speed limit and semi busy so no real joy but I got to feel some cornering. Of course I had to come back home and I just had to do it again.

Wish AT&T had fiber in this area. $180 for 300/100 and static IPs.

holy cow. Crapcast stopped working this morning. I had to have files emailed to me so I could get them on my phone and them transfer them to the laptop to work on. Back up for now.

My MIL lives in Enid. She has the local cable system for internet and cable TV. She said he internet is super slow because so many people in the neighborhood are home downloading.

Got (pretty much) laid off today. No biggie- I can get to all my projects (I thought). Went home- Inhaled the fresh spring air. Invigorated by the new spring blossoms! First project- undo bolt to change oil in garden tractor. Needed 10mm socket. Could not find it. SON OF A B#@$$#TCH!!!!!! THEN things got real!
- and that's a true story.

The 10 mm thing is a little funny, but silly overblown like most things as an internet meme. When I first started driving in my high school years I bought a set of Fuller (made in Japan) sockets and a ratchet with two extensions. The chrome is heavily worn on the sides of the head of the ratchet from getting laid down on concrete a few million times. It still works perfectly, and I have all the sockets from 6 mm to 17. Well, OK I broke the 14 mm socket with my impact wrench because I was too lazy to stand up and get the right socket. So the 14 is replaced with a Craftsman socket.
My tools absolutely have the ability to transport themselves into great hiding places. I can put them down and seconds later they are transported to some idiotic place I would never lay down a tool. I spend more time looking for my tools than using them on many projects. We had to turn on the AC yesterday. It hit 91 degrees and was pretty humid in the house. We had to turn on the ceiling fan in the bedroom to sleep.

I don’t know, Glen. I’m also a 10mm socket victim.

Mr. toad is back. Actually at least two of them croaked all night. So we get to listen to toads for a few more months.
This morning during my morning routine of make coffee and feed the dogs one dog was missing at the food bowls. I figured he was outside looking for toads and would be inside soon. After a few minutes, no dog. So I went looking, and he was not in the back yard anywhere. I did a search behind the storage building and side yard, no dog. That got Mrs. Carrera out of bed to look as well. Then I figured out he was likely in the closet. I went in there like every morning to pick out a clean shirt. Sure enough, open the closet door and he came flying out. He had never made a sound. He did not care about any greetings, he went straight to the feeding spot in the laundry room and was ready. He dang near starved to death in those extra few minutes.

Morning/afternoon all. Sitting here in the front room there seems to be an awful lot of essential traffic on my street.
As far as 10mm sockets go the last time (fall) I looked it was in the tool box right next to the rest of them.

The only place the 928GTS is listed right now is facebook.
Can't manage it myself so John Garvey is getting it fixed up and doing all the ads and listing for me. He is getting some little stuff fixed at the dealer right now. A side marker light fell apart because of age, the glue let go that holds the red lens to the mount. Had the right instead of the left so waiting for a right sidemarker lens. Think he plans to list it on BaT.

Dang it, accidentally sent my quarantine email to junk Saturday and stopped getting them.
Now I gotta un-junk it. Nothing good usually gets quarantined so not going to go online and review all the junk unless someone says they sent me something I didn't get.

One bad thing about cable internet is each section shares bandwidth. Most days no one notices because they have enough overhead, but when it gets busy everyone notices.
