Windows recently did an update and I have been putting off the update for a while. When I finally accepted the update, it came up with the all new designed for Win 10 Edge web browser. I will stick with Firefox. It first comes up and really wants me to sign in and setup a Microsoft account. Ain't gonna do it, nope, read my lips, no Microsoft log in fer me.

yeah when the kids were little we got some now with the dog living under the bed for the last few nights its just not worth it. However since the 4th was a Saturday we were up late into the night and at 7am the revenge works were in full swing. No one was sleeping.

There is an amusement park less than two miles as the crow flies from our house. They had a big show on the 3rd and the 4th. The University that is about a mile away had some fireworks on the 4th. Only a few went off in the neighborhood. We slept just fine on the 4th.

Apple has changed processors AND OS on Macs several times already. Understand they are making it so the iphones, pads, and desktops all run the same chips/os so can work together better. Also when they were using non PC processors there was a mHz war that stopped when Apple put Intel Inside.

Shooting fireworks off and blowing things up were fun when I was a kid. Also had wars at my grandmothers where we threw firecrackers and shot pop bottle rockets at each other. Has a paper grocery sack with 2 800 firecracker strings unstrung and was running around throwing firecrackers out of. A pop bottle rocket landed in it and set the whole bag off. It made a fireball of crackers going all making a ball about 30 ft diameter. It was great. The neighborhood tried the rest of the weekend to duplicated but couldn't.

Durning thunderstorms my goldens would run towards the thunder and bark at it. At least until they learned it wasn't going to get them. There is a big amusement park 4 miles from us that does a display every night. My dogs got to where they just ignore fireworks. Before we moved here my olden would get in the bathtub during loud storms and fireworks. And trained her to be a good gun dog.

It was pretty funny the first time I took Penny to a big fireworks display. Thought she would be okay because she was a gun dog. She was fine until the finale, then she went bonkers and bolted. Even broke her leash. Jumped into a car full of Mexicans that opened a door as she approached. She went in on top of everyone and the mexicans came flying out! It was hilarious!

My nephew has morters and a sequencer and builds his own fireworks display. He is a pyro. This is the first year in several that he did not do a display. They do the display over a big pond at my brother's farm.

Most of the CPU war seems to be in how many cores they can stuff in now.

It's kinda like a strip club...look, but don't get too close and don't touch.

Be looking for a house keeper. My SIL's daughter was coming by a couple hours every other week until she got a job at Walmart deli. Said she thought it was too dangerous. Now won't return calls or texts, her mom says the same thing.

Posted the opening on a web site called care.com. It supposed to be for all kinds of care more than just housekeeping. $15 to $25/hr. Have not gotten any calls..
Need to post on the next door neighborhood web site.

The lady that does my water filters also cleans houses, but she is way too expensive, over $35/hr and wants to clean 6 hours every week. I don't get the house THAT dirty.

Found a guy to replace the stockade fence and two gates on the south side of the house, $650. One day to tear out old and concrete in metal posts, then put up the new panels the next day. Said he was just using post hole diggers. If it were me I would do the holes with a gas powered auger. Neighbor on that side is going to split the cost.

I fell just going out to get the mail today. It sucks not being able to do anything. Especially when I used to do all this kind of landscaping stuff to make money for college.
Would really like to get my yard re-landscaped for super low maintenance.

Did get some good news this morning. Bring a trailer called and accepted my 928 with a reserve of $85K. And because it took so long and is going to take another month for a good write up and pictures, they are going to help, and are not charging for their premium service.

Bring a trailer was just sold to Hearst Publishing. That may be part of the delay. Good luck getting it sold. The international market is the place to sell it. Somewhere on the planet is someone that thinks it is the perfect car, and willing to part with the funds. Just be sure it is a non reversible bank transfer before releasing custody of the car. Lots of scammer out there.

Morning all. Good luck with the house cleaning issue. We found they fell into two camps. Way to expensive and not right now its to dangerous. Which we found funny as we had not gone anyplace for months.

Gots me some official medical test results that say I'm Covid free. Have been home bound since before there was even such a thing as a Covid. It's like being disabled or something.

The bigger risk is to you having strangers in your house. So I don't know why the daughter is worried but maybe she doesn't want to bring you something you don't want to have.

Phew.

The brake master cylinder and booster is changed on the Elky. One bleeder valve was welded in place, so I ended up putting on the new calipers I was going to use later. What a pin in the butt to do.

Yea, I had to steal one of his beers during the clean up and mess abatement. Then the roten bastage made me go inside and work on the company books. Time for a nap!

Blaspheme! Heretic! Apostate! Pagan! That is just a horrible thing to do to an innocent beer. Enough to make a grown man cry.
