I did that for the first major part of my life. Not one cell phone or computer of any sort until I bought my Commodore Vic 20 in 198- or 81. I knew 16K was not enough, so I bought the expansion card with the computer and had 32K of power, with a tape drive to load and store programs and a 300 baud modem.

I don't go anywhere without my iPhone now. It is my brain assistant. I can't imagine living without it now. Like sex, I will never go back to celibate or life without a smart phone.

I downloaded my credit card charges to my Quicken account today and noticed a charge on my personal account that I did not remember buying. So I stated digging, and finally figured out it was the Amazon Prime renewal. I have two prime accounts. One for the business, which is free, but has no Prime video or music. So I have my personal account to watch Amazon Prime TV shows. I for sure get my money's worth from it.

I have been watching another British series about the early days of Inspector Morse. It is set in the mid 1960s and it is cool to see the lengths they went to for props from the 1960s. And the stories of the 1960s. They recently had the local university sort voting list for people's names that lived in an area and the computer only took overnight to find the person. 1967 computer tech at the top.

Welp, we made it through Monday, now on up the hill to the hump of Wednesday and it is downhill all the way to the weekend again. Repeat 51 more times and it will be 2022.

Howdy all. The freezing fog has finally started to dissipate.

We have had three days of great weather. Our pilot for hire is up in our airplane flying the local project. Just some very light high thin clouds that are of no consequences for making a shadow today. Of course the project is just off the runway center line at the local international airport so he gets to have have fun dodging airliners. It is nice to have full ADS-B and see them and they see us, and the tower sees all.

Good morning all.

Been trying to wrap my head around how I want to set my garage up to maximize floor space, so I can start working on the 911.

Anyone have a used 911 engine stand yoke I could buy. I can't see spending almost $500 for a new one on the site for something I'll use for a bit and then sit and collect dust for decades.

Working space in a tight garage is something I dealt with with my 914. I did clutch jobs in a garage so small that with just enough that the El Camino simply will not fit. It was not fun, but I got it done.

It sure makes me love my current garage.

My first Shingles shot had a sore arm and soreness for a few days. I forgot I got the second round. No reaction at all.

I am signed up to get notified that a shot is available. Hopefully we can get a covid shot soon.

We are starting the second round here on the COVID stuff. We were awarded some help since we have such a low infection rate.

We had to buy a full version of Office 365 to move our email and use Outlook, and the rest. One part of Office is OneDrive. That is FAST!

I can upload a file for my partner to download. I just sent him a 19 MD file and it uploaded in maybe 3 seconds. Wow. I remember one old benchmark for the dial up days, 12 minutes for a single megabyte. So instead of 3.8 hours it was done in around 3.8 seconds. Amazing.

I uploaded a 2.1 GB file the other day and it was pretty quick.

Good story from a while ago.

https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a4708/features-magazines-features-the-life-of-phil-remington/

Remington headed for the shop. He passed the boss's office
without slowing down, but Gurney popped out and chased him down the hall, an 81-year-old legend running after a 91-year-old one.

That is a cool story. It is wild how much the mechanics and racers of that era had to invent for themselves, and do the design and build of a car then race it. Now days the racing is much faster with the technology of the day, and a team of designers, a team of builders, and a driver that had a group of support people like trainers and all the simulators. And massive differences in money throughout.

No fever or feeling like crap. Slight headache last night, but nothing that Ibuprofen couldn't handle. But the arm aches a little, like I've had a tetanus shot. My scrub nurse today is complaining of the arm ache, too. Mrs. Noah also had a couple days of fatigue last week after her shot.
