Even if I got in, I suspect something inside is either wet, or fried. It will instantly pop the ground fault interrupt. It does not even try to start or hum, it just pops the ground fault instantly.

As I said, I am just happy it waited for a nice warm day to fail.

Our credit union just called with an automated message and said there was suspicious activity on my wife's debit card, and they shut it down. She called the number on the back of the credit card, and sure enough, someone tried to buy gas and that transaction was somehow flagged as not legit. So she has to drive two miles to the local branch for them to make her a new account. Now she "gets" to notify the several businesses that use that number to pay bills.

Dang thieves. We are not one one cent, just 4 miles of driving, and some phone calls.

Such a waste of your time but it must work some times or they wouldn't keep trying to use other peoples cards.

Just before we went on a trip to Europe years ago out bank called and asked if we had bought $5000 in sporting goods in Germany. We told them we had not left yet and had not intended to go there. I hope they got some good stuff.

I had my CC company asking if I was in Italy buying a several thousand dollars of scuba gear. I said I am am at home, and have no interest in scuba gear. So I had to get a new card.

One time was dated by the purchase. It was a Blockbuster movie in Idaho. One time someone was trying to buy women's dresses at some dress shop. The CC company said they were mailing me a new card, as they were sure I did not buy women's clothes.

My CC company will text me if they see a strange purchase. The funniest time was I paid for over $800 in pizza at a local restaurant. That went right through. It was for the Porsche club, and legit.

It was a chore to get them to understand that yes, we might buy $250 in gas and later that same day in Nebraska get $250 in fuel at another airport.

Just did a Zoom chocolate tasting tonight. That was a lot of fun. It was organized by my highschool alumni organization. Signed up a few weeks ago and my HS shipped out a package of chocolates and accompaniments (nuts, dried fruit pieces, chocolate bits, etc). Then the Zoom was narrated by two foodies who talked us through some history and the manufacturing of chocolate. Very interesting, fun, and tasty, and good to see a few HS classmates, too.

I had my card number compromised around X-mas. Someone took about 7 or 8 Uber trips, charged to my credit card. I don't even have an Uber account, so it's impossible for me to even contact Uber to sort this out. I just called my CC and contested the charges.

The weird thing was that I caught this after a few days, and I canceled my card. Visa sent out a new card, but before I even received it the thieves had somehow linked that card to their Uber account, and racked up 6 or 7 more trips. Contested those, too.

Unfortunately it is light rain at the race track today. Not as much fun running in the rain.

I did outrun a Ferrari 488! He was just spinning tires with the 600+hp.

The rain is over so maybe next run session will be fun.

We had rain. We had wind too. Sounded worse than it was though, just under an inch per hour and 30mph winds.

Warm and windy today. Most of the snow is gone. I will keep the snow thrower in the garage for a bit yet to make sure it doesn't snow more. Back in 1973 we got 20 inches of snow in a 2 day blizzard. As a kid it was awesome with drifts that buried dad's travel trailer he used for working out of town. As the adult that has to clear it, nope.

The track is mostly dry. Lots more fun. That 488 disappears on the straits but I catch him in the corners and braking areas. Lotsa fun.

It hit 60* today. Been winging back snow banks with the grader all day. Most of the dirt roads are bare for the first time since late Nov.

I'm ready for spring.

Pete, I remember looking out that very same window and all of outside was lush green. And it was not much warmer that that. I like green more than snow!

I ended up doing 5 runs of 15 minutes in the dry. Two in the damp, in the mornings was not as much fun. So an hour and 15 minutes of dry fun on track time. The Ferrari 488 was fun to use as a gauge of speed. I am far from being a real race driver, but I am no beginner. The 488 with almost 700 HP would just fly away down the straights but I could catch right up under braking and cornering. He of course has ABS, and all the traction control nannies, I just have my feet and experience and a 36 year old 200 HP Porsche. No doubt if he were more experienced he would vanish. There was a 996 4S in my group on autocross tires, that could almost lap me in the 15 minute sessions. I would start right behind him, and he was catching up at the checkered flag. He only has nearly twice the HP and 4 wheel drive.

The most intense moment of the day was coming down the hill at redline in 3rd, (90 MPH) when the track was still a little damp. I hit the brakes and felt one front tire just sliding quietly on the wet pavement. It is just counter intuitive when the track edge is rushing up to lift off the pedal a little and modulate the brakes. My foot knew what to do, just lift a little, and apply pressure back to get both front tire to grab. I made the turn with room to spare, but it got my attention.

Most of the day I was alone on track, and no other cars to see, it was like a private track day.

The irony is that the 911 is really dirty, and it is supposed to rain most of the weekend. The Elky is clean, so I will drive the 911 for errands. Monday will be wash day.

Yea, we are planning on going to Eagles Canyon next. It will require an overnight stay. The track is freshly resurfaced.

It looks like fun.

Yep, and he lets me drive his 911 on the track. The meanie makes me do the maintenance and wash it and such, but I do have fun. I told the guy that set it all up I was glad to stop for the day and my face was going to hurt from so much grinning. I was going to look like the Joker in the Batman flicks with a huge grin on my face.
