Just be happy they can take a look, and fix minor problems before they are major problems. Propofol is great stuff.

Just the prep before hand really sucks, or blows to be more accurate.

The best part is they pump in air to open up things for easier viewing, and you receive doctor's orders to fart as much as possible. He does not put a expiration date on that. I am going on several years and still trying to purge that air they pumped in!

Dang silly weather.

Spring keeps running and hiding, and winter is trying to come back. We have several days upcoming of lows in the 30s again. No freezes, but close. And the highs are cold enough that I have to be all formal and dressed up in jeans and a t-shirt. I am ready for shorts! At 3:00 in teh afternoon it is 54 degrees today. It just ain't right. We had this crap last year.

The cold weather means Mrs. Carrera brought in all the plants she has started and not yet planted, and all the new stuff to be planted. Out kitchen informal dining room looks like a jungle right now.

We don't get rid of 30s until next Wednesday!

Jeff, it has been a while. I guess the upcoming winter months brought you back into the light.

Still practicing retirement or did ya become a contributing member of society and get a job again?

Hopefully you were not stuck in traffic for long for the commute. I hate it when I get cut off walking down the hall by a dog.

Our female was really extra weird thing morning. She is a weird dog to begin with like many long haired dachshunds. I feed the dogs from a small bin we keep in the laundry room. The male is right there doing his hurry up dance for me. As soon as the food is down, his head is in the bowl, and eating commences. The female never came in there, she stayed in the bedroom. I usually feed he in my office so the male does not steal any of her food. She finally got out of bed, came in the office, looked at her food bowl, and went outside instead of eating. I figured she needed to take care of business. A little while later she wnt to the bedroom and started barking to be fed. I called her in to the office, and she preferred to bark in the bedroom. She would come look at the food bowl and run back to the bedroom and bark.

After a few rounds of that my wife got our of bed, and the dog of course followed, and Mrs. Carrera told her to eat the breakfast and she did. Just extra weird.

About a year ago I was contracted to write software for a prototype automated cattle drafting system. That lead to me getting a passion for work again. It was also good to have excess cash for toys and wine. So, while I still write software for the cattle thing every now and then, I now work permanently for a utility company designing and maintaining community water disinfection control systems.

Oh, and my latest toy is a new custom built motorcycle that I ordered late February, and hope to see delivered by August.

Our alarm system started a loud beeping one week ago. It was a warning that the cell phone communications was FUBAR. I shut it up, and 5 minutes later the beeping was back. I called the company and they said Verizon had a cell tower problem. So I had to unplug the transformers, and the battery backup, and then open the panel and pull that battery. The system was dead as a door nail for a week. I called today and they said the issue was resolved. So I hooked it all up, and it works.

So I asked do I get a credit the week of no service? Her reply was she was told by supervisors that the problem was not theirs, it was a Verizon issue and I should call Verizon. I am not a client of Verizon so who would I call. I told her my next call was to be to Cox and other alarm companies to see what they offer. She said I could talk to their customer retention supervisor. They gave me a two month credit. I suggest that the alarm company (ADT) has a contract with Verizon and they had a clear breach of contract issue and they need to get relief as well.

So in a few months when the credits are used up I will still call Cox and see what alarm package they offer. I may not change, but I want to see what the competition charges and offers.

I have had the same system for 9 years and no real problems. It was a local company, that was bought by a bigger company, and they were bought by a different company, and finally ADT swallowed them.

Jeff, it is good to be productive.

I have long said I don't really want a career, I just want a steady paycheck to buy food and toys.

I was just coerced into driving the boss's wife to the local plant nursery. Mostly to act as the person pulling the cart and loading and unloading the cart with more plants.

I have no idea where she is going to plant them, but somewhere in the flowerbeds. She will find a place somewhere.

Off in the 911 to the dealership for "Motors in the Morning" and free coffee and donuts. One of the local regional PAC members is accepting delivery of her new 992 today.

The boss's wife did disclose that we are only keeping one of those plants. The other 5 are scored for her plant loving friends. Of course since I had the perfect vehicle to haul them all home they will just come pick them up here.
