Yea, Ozark International is a blast, but scary because it is so long and easy to forget what the next corner is. I suspect only Barbour Motorsports in Birmingham is prettier. I hear Barbour has the grass manicured like a golf course, art work everywhere, and a fantastic motorcycle museum. The good new for me, is Parade 2024 will be in Birmingham, and they will have a DE at Barbour so I get to do that track as well!

Hey, any idea what a picture set like this would be worth?

No clue whatsoever on the leaves. If it was by Picasso a ton, if the same thing was done my a nobody, nothing more the frame value.
I regularly see "art" sold for insane money that looks like something I would toss in the trash if someone gave it to me.

How many hours in the air is that?
20 years ago or so at a local PCA social event, one of the members was a pilot on a AWACS and he talked about some 18 hours missions. Then one of the other guys was a crew member on a KC135 asked him if they filled up on fuel once up to altitude, and he said of course, and they fueled up on the way back home. The second guy, said yep, that was us in the KC135 there before got there and after you left, and we had a 26 hour mission of flying in circles. All in a day at work.

What a party!
We went to some friends 50th anniversary party. Lost of grey hair to be seen in the friends and family, and a few bald heads. Great food, good times and the party wrapped up at 8:30, phew. Not quite like the olden days 50 years ago. In bed by 10:00 PM It was held in Wichita, KS and pretty easy to find, straight up I-35 150 miles, and arrive. I turned 193,000 miles on the 911 as I pulled into the garage when we got back. We took the 911 as it is a wonderful highway car, and the speed limit is 75 MPH and only a few old trucks go that slow. I just rolled along with the traffic. The El Camino is OK, but it struggles a bit to above 75 and with frameless windows, it has a LOT of wind noise. The Macan is a good highway car, but Mrs. Carrera did not feel like driving. Round trip and I still had over 1/3 of a tank of gas.

Morning all. Monday and we wash rinse and repeat. Short week for me, taking Friday off. I'll still have 6.5 days to burn before 12/22 or I lose them.

Cool. Do you have to sand or polish the 3d printed wheels to make the printed surface smooth?
I presume the kit comes with tires.

Had to buy new tires as well.
These were painted after curing but no sanding so I could see how they turn out. Should have used a sandable primer on the Fuchs. The minilites I wanter a rougher surface in the center and polished metal rims. |

We finally got one of the large checks that was taking forever. It is really cool to see that large balance in the checkbook, and sad to see the cash flow flowing back out.
We spent a decent hunk of the profits on the new camera system, and we had some data work done to do that large project, and for some reason those folks want their money. So the cash keeps flowing. The good news is it still a nice balance, and our receivables are still high. Golly running a business is fun. As least we have a positive cash flow and get to keep some of it long enough, to pay taxes with.

Sounds like things are looking up. Or is it down in your case with the camera in the plane.......

Yea, the new camera is a big upgrade. The old one is still a good system, and will remain as a backup. The new one just better in every parameter. We can now fly along at normal cruise speed for the 182 and the camera keeps up. With the old system the pilot had to drop some flaps, and fly slower that ideal. That causes the aircraft to wallow a bit, and more work to keep the wings level.
The higher pixel count means higher resolution, and great imagery. It can compete head to head with aerial camera systems that are 250K or more. The state of the art, camera systems are over a million bucks. Those need to be flying almost every day to pay for themselves. We prefer the lemonade style relaxed business model that pays all the bills but no sleepless nights of worry.
