Get off my lawn!

![]() I discovered Photoshop will indeed open a really really big Tiff file. It will not save it, so all you can do is look at it or scale it down to save it. We flew the University of Oklahoma campus at a crazy high resolution and we have it in a 3D model or a straight down (nadir) ortho-photo. The print department of the university wants to print it a 40x60 and they wanted a 400 DPI image. OK, no sweat. I did some quick calculations and figured if I output a 1/4 of full resolution image that would be about right. I was off by a lot. It took a long time to output the file and I thought Photoshop was locked up trying to open it. I went to eat dinner and cam back in my office and it was open. The photo above is the screen capture of the image size information box in Photoshop. ![]() ![]() Remember this is just 1/2 the full resolution. It is a part of the football stadium end zone. 175 Gig is a little big for their needs. ![]() Next we want to take a small part of the image in 3D and have a 3D printer print a model of it. I have no idea if anyone would want an accurate 3D model of a city or campus, bet we can do it.

iHola, y’all!
It never rains in Southern Calififornia, except for now. We’re getting a good, steady rain.

Well, it must be spring now, the snow from yesterday is melting off.
Might get to 60* by the weekend. Jim, I heard LA is turning into a lake in some parts?

Bet Uncle Sam sure likes the fact that the company pays us bonuses. I get taxed 6% more on the bonus money. Wouldn't be bad, but my salary plus the bonus adds up to the average salary for my title here in OKC.

They just decided to give a bonus starting last year instead pay raises that they haven't given in the last 4 years.

TGIF!!!!
Raise whats that you speak of. Not getting those either. There are no cost of living raises given here and when you do get a raise its based on your billable hour total. So if you are like me where you don't typically control your work load you are out of luck. SO two thing going on. Dad is in his final stages we think. Hospice said probably 24 hours. The other...someone stole our yard gnomes out of the front flower bed. ITs time to get a dye pack.

Sorry to hear about your dad. It is expected with hospice care, but it still hurts when he is gone.
Maybe the gnome went on a walkabout for spring? The entire 8 years at my former place of employment with the other company from out of state, no one got a raise. Even the year we sent them over 400 grand or the year they took 300 grand from our rainy day fund. When the man that started the company hired me he started me at a higher rate than I was making. He then gave me several raises before he sold the company. That was the last raise I ever got. Now I have mean boss that keeps buying equipment and leasing airplanes and spending money like a congressman. No, scratch that, no hookers or mistresses or interns, just software and hardware and aircraft fuel. I remember the first time I ever had to put two whole dollar of gas in my car for a fill-up I felt ripped off. The airplane can suck up 350 bucks in a day with ease. The good-news-bad-news is I now have three computers at home and I had all three fast computers busy last night at 9:30 PM.

Sounds like the boss is working you all hours of the day. I think you should drink more of his beer so he asks you to go buy him some more. That way at least you get out some.

Gnomes have not been known to be trustworthy, but still...
Sorry to hear about your dad. Always tough times.

Be sure an let us know if there is anything we can do to help with you Dad situation or the gnome caper.
Gnomes missing? Sounds like a plot for the latest gnome movie with Sherlock Gnome. Don't have any gnomes, but have a couple of plaster rabbits.

Check the rabbits and see if they have any new boy friends.
Not much anyone can do for dad. My sister is there now. I said my goodbye on Wednesday and can't bring myself to go back after watching mom die last year. If he makes it thru till tomorrow he will have lived exactly one year and one week longer than she did.
