Good day all. Dry here, but all the rivers on the way home were high or overflowing.

Richard, thanks for the interesting evening and meal, and the few dollars parking wasn't too bad compared to the hotel in Austin.

Sorry we missed you Glen.

I get to sleep in my own bed tonight!

Sorry my low life greedy boss made me work Thursday and Friday, Brent. Maybe next time.

We had a aquacross today. Same autocross track, but with a light drizzle the entire time. Windshield wipers in max delay mode. Totally wet concrete. I was amazed how well the tires stick. I did it today just to find out how the pilot sports do in the 55 degree rain. I was impressed and happy.

I now have a dirty 911, but it ain’t the first time. Won’t be the last time. Easy to fix problem.

Used to cook a single burger on my smoker grill then eat it. Now I am cooking the whole package of ground beef and putting the extra burgers in the fridge for later. Cook them rare, then heat a burger in the toaster oven for hot, juicy, and medium rare.

Works great cause can also toast the bun and melt cheese on the burger while warming. And no cheese mess on the grill. Tried warming the burgers in the microwave, just not good for heating meats.

Bonus! Found can put deli cut ham in the same container as the grilled burgers and the ham takes on just the right amount of smoky taste.

Going to attempt pork tamales for a department pot luck Mexican lunch this week. Gotta find a grocery store with the proper masa and dried peppers. Hope can use double pans in my oven to steam em.
Already plan to boil the pork butt, then finish if off on the smoker grill.

Oh boy, got a hacker email this morning that claims they know my password.

What they gave as my password I have not used as a password for 10 years.

Said they used RDP and keylogger to get my password, contacts and capture video of me watching porn and the porn I was watching.

If I don't send them $3000 bitcoin they are going to send the porn with me watching it to my contacts.

Curious to see if they send anything and what it is, especially since there is no such thing as RDP on my mac, and it would stop any keylogger software. Besides the fact I don't actually watch porn.

Since I did not get any video proof from them....if anyone gets porn with me watching, please send me a copy.

Stijn!!

I got a similar BS scam email. Since I don’t watch porn, and my computer has no video camera an the only video cameras I have are outside pointed at the yard and driveway, I felt real sure they were liars.

My email did not mention a password.

My business partner cal a phone call about it. Same bs scam. He told them great, he is a major porn producer and it would make him more money so please publish it. The guy laughed and hung up. And to be clear, he does not produce porn. He just hates bs calls as much as anyone.

The scam concerned me a little because the did list a password I have used in the past.
There have also been several attempts at my company account because I get the MFA text message to login.

Made sure there was no keylogger and my systems were connect SSL and changed my passwords anyway.

Since I don't do porn, and am single with no-one to get upset...Kinda want to see any dirty videos they have to see what I look like watching porn and the porn I would be watching.
Maybe they will somehow show me pr someone that looks like me wanking off so I am sending dick pics without actually sending dick pics.
Could post it (with tastefully censored pics) on facebook and see if it goes viral.

Happy Monday.

David, the 8mm should be compatible with the Hi8 and the other we would have to have the camera. We can do s-video and composite video and have the Hi9 camera.

Was that scam from the next Prenda wannabe?

I think there was a post between David and Glen. Someone all too happy about recursive Saturdays I think!

Ya gotta love the tax man.

Last week I received a letter saying we owed the entire balance of the excise tax which is a huge number. I could have bought a new 911 in 1974 instead of a 914 with that money. I sent them copies of everything, even the canceled checks. Today I get TWO letters from them, One says we owe $41.25, the other letter says we have a $50.70 credit. Both letters were written on the same day. I am confused. Of course calling is a time suck and endless layers of bureaucracy to finally get to the one person that can see what is going on.

I guess I need to send 4 letters to one up them, but they would just send me 8 letters back, and my secretarial staff is busy with other things to do that are productive.

I am temped to send a stack of paperwork to them and a check for $41.25 so at worst we are paid up, and at best we get a credit balance of $91.95. The new registration fees are due in 2019 so it would be an investment in the future! It looks like the registration fee for the honor of owning our 182 is $82.50 per year.

Probably the least expensive thing about the airplane.

Yea, likely. Aircraft that are 30 years old or older at just $10 per year. So in 2034 we will be set. So we are 1/2 way there! Of course by then the politicians will decide anything that flies needs a special permit that costs some huge amount.

It is yet another good reason to NOT have a 767. Those are $22,500 per year to register. Yikes. Of course for a 767 that is peanuts. They can spend 77 grand for a single fill up!

Recursive Saturdays? Hmmm...I like it!

I must admit, every week I also have Taco Tuesdays. Yummm.

Speaking of taxes, I spent time yesterday looking at my plans for a withdrawal from my rollover IRA account, our expected tax bill for 2018, how much to withhold for Fed & CA taxes, and our expected income vs. the various Medicare Part B premium thresholds. Ack. Today, I made the withdrawal happen and put the after-tax pesos into our taxable account at the brokerage. We're building up our ready cash to buy a Class B RV (think MB Sprinter van-style), possibly in 2019. And, hopefully my math is right and our Medicare Part B premiums won't go up due to exceeding an income threshold. Now I can go out to the garage and work on the Z.

Money means S E C U R I T Y...no money...means...TERROR!..Oh, Oh. —The Android Sisters from The Adventures of Ruby, radio show.

Would love to find a copy of that today. Listened to it back in the mid-70's on the radio,

Had some pork tamales from a new Mexican place today...They sucked. Had no flavor except for the corn masa despited the fact they were pork and had a carne sauce on them.

Reminded me of a mexican place my nephew and I tried one day. We got burritos. It was amazing, their burritos tasted just like my Mom's Beef Stroganoff she made with mushroom steak sauce. There was nothing at all mexican flavored about their burritos.

Look like if I'm not careful I am going to be put in charge of doling out and keeping track of all the software licensing. It is really F'd up and that's just the Microsoft licenses and they do not make it very easy or affordable.

Not to mention Adobe, Solidworks, Infor, Kronos, Cornerstone, and some of the other packages.
