We never used a "cleaning service" we used a lady that had her own clients. She was just $65 per cleaning and she came twice per month. The services are double that cost.

So I figured I would ask some of my PCA buddies and see who cleans for them. I can't imagine many of them do it all themselves.

Just think of all the commuting time you can save by not having to go to work!

For years right after I bought my house I was single and broke as heck and I just took my "vacation pay" as a check, and kept working the same schedule. It was wonderful to get to a point where I could do things for fun and not have to worry about how to pay the electric bill.

This year with no Porsche Parade to suck up a bunch of "disposable income" I just stuck more into retirement funds, and I just ordered a new stereo for my El Camino.

The factory radio was AM/FM only and crappy reception. All the aftermarket stereos were single DIN and had to have an adapter to even fit the 1.5 DIN hole. I finally found a stereo that looks right, and is a full 1.5 DIN and has the features I want. My current stereo in there is simply impossible to read the display with sunglasses on, and her to read even at night. Now it often does not read the USB drive unless I restart it.

Now I need to figure out how to add some decent speakers and just give up on the tiny 3.5 inch speakers in the dash. Likely will have to go to door mounted speakers.

Weird email event last night. All my contacts went away, and email was gone on my phone. My outlook on my computer had the contacts and the old email, but would not send or receive. So I had to contact my tech support. He is based about a mile from me, so no talking to someone based in India with a thick accent named Bob. The Outlook on my computer came back to full function with a restart and the iPhone required me to delete the Exchange account and reload it. Wham bam thank ya ma'am, all is restored.

It was a weird moment when I went to call the email resource and looked at my phone with no contacts and wondered what the phone number was to call or text.

All is well again. The best news is my wife's iPhone and iPad on the same provider had no issues at all.

Work was without phone or internet for two days. We did have cellular issues as well but go through it. At least we had a backup internet connection tat switches automatically, it is just really slow.

Glen you can get some really good sounding speaker for the dash positions. All it takes is a lot of money.

My dash speakers are almost impossible to get to and replace. I put on a dash topper that covers up the bad cracks from 34 years of sun. So that would have to be removed, and then the windshield has to come out because the magnets on the speakers will not clear the space with the windshield in place. Way too much trouble.

The ultimate solution is have some talented upholstery shop remove the entire dash, rebuild it, and replace all the vacuum hoses and make it look new. That would cost many thousands, and will never happen. I just don't care that much.

Like i said, just takes money!

Door speakers work fine too. Or headrests from a Fiero with speakers built in.

I will have to cut up my door panels and likely add mounting points inside the door, and stay away from the window, so it is not optional. I can get custom plastic molded kick panel speaker enclosures for $200 and than fine some speakers for those. That may be the best choice. No real cutting. I have some plastic paint that is the color of my interior so I can paint them to match.

I want to get the new stereo installed and see just how bad the old speakers are. They have been in there for at least 20 years. I am not looking to get thumping stereo, just good enough for rock and roll.

I figured it was past time to back up my phone. It had been several weeks. There is a update of course. There is always an update. So it is downloading. 5GB for the new iOS for a phone. Wow, 5 GB just to run a phone. I had built and upgraded a lot of computers before I ever had 5 GB of hard drive space. It is a good thing my boot drive and work drive are both 2TB M.2 drives.

I think it was my first 4Gig hard drive I named monster-drive or something like it. Back when DVDs were huge storage at 4.7 GB. I can't remember the last time I burned a CD or DVD to send files to a client. Now we just FTP them.

Well, Big steaming pile of excrement! GTS showed no real insterest. Last bid was 73K and obviously a car flipper. The car rags value it including miles at 90K.

That sucks. The 928 is a car that has a following, but at those price ranges, it is out of reach of many.

Did it have a reserve?

85k, the year and mileage of GTS is listed 89.9K. One recently sold at Gooding Auction in that range.

The humidity is in the simply stupid high levels. At dawn the humidity was 93% 75 degrees and a heat index of 80 with sun yet shining. I am thinking I am glad I have an inside job. I am working on a project that we flew yesterday.

Does chasing PIDS and valve numbers require any special gear that make it seem hotter outside? Hope not.
