So, Jeff YOU caused that dust storm. Maybe if you wash and wax your car you can cause some rain!
Richard, is the V1 have the new upgrades? Go to the V1 web site, and enter your serial number. It will tell you if it is up to date. If it has not been updated, it is almost useless. The new cruise control modules in cars will set it of constantly. I had to send mine in to get it updated. Now if it goes off, it is a real. Even a single blip means pay attention it could be a the instant on radar.

Has been 4 years since I got it updated. Will have to check.
...it needs a $79 update. Says lane change radar on some of the newer cars will set it off.

fcuk you dust storm!
Got it all clean now ![]() ![]() It’s ready for the painter and the weather to align. There’s still quite a lot of dust in the air at the moment, so I’m going to have to rinse it off every couple of days till the painter can get a clear day to do his thing.

So your new hobby is washing the roof? I always knew the land of Oz was weird, but that takes it to a new level.

Searched for a plumber on Angies List.
Right after I scheduled a plumber I checked off the search on angies list marking it filled. AFTER the work was done got 5 emails that said they were from Angies List but were NOT. Just got a phone call that was not from Angies List but claimed they were. Not sure what the scam is?

Angies list is the scam itself.
Talk to any business owner that deals with them. They often shake down a business owner to sign up and pay them or they will give bad reviews. And if you have a horrible experience with a business and post a bad review of someone that pays for the listing, the bad review vanishes. It is one of those business idea that makes sense if it was really honest. When a good review can be bought, it is worthless.

Overall we didn't do too bad. A few inches of snow over some freezing rain. The worst is that we cleared the concrete, put some salt ont eh ice that we couldn't scrape and then it snowed over it again. Ugh.
I did get the dash al wired ready to drop in. Just have some major cable/wire management to do. Oh, Happy *day.

Wholly crap I have a lot of pictures of Porsche Parade. I guess 17 Parade trips will do that. The one I have the fewest photos of is the Oklahoma Parade in 1996. It was all film and I am sure I have the negatives around somewhere.
I have been organizing my images and trying to make a logical set of folders. I have about eleventy thousand photos of other Porsches, and several thousand photos of my 911. Just getting them organized in a general way is a pain.

Happy Tuesday folks.
They were predicting heavy fog for this morning. The humidity kept the temps up, as it is just 52 this morning. No rain however. I am having photo overload. Going through the older Parade images is tedious. Back before 2010 I was still mostly using a film camera. I have scans of the negatives, and they are scattered in various places on my hard drive. Some images I find over and over. I have a lot of duplicates. Those get eliminated. My ultimate goal is to get all the Parade trips organized, and copied to my phone is logical folders. Then I want to work on getting a few DVDs ripped to my iPhone. The movies I have in that format we done for my iPhone 5s and the resolution of the new phone is a lot higher. I need to find a program to convert the DVDs to a digital movie format. I did not buy 256 Gig of storage to have it mostly empty.

Morning all. We have snow and ice on the roads. Yesterday and today's trip in to the office were fun little drives.

I am finding all sorts of files from long ago on old CDs and DVDs, and copying them onto my RAID. Some cool old stuff dates back to the last millennium from the local club.
Some if just trash. Some is pretty cool. ![]() Lots and lots and lots of pictures of the worlds prettiest 911. Here is proof positive that in 2008 my car was nice and shiny just like it is now. This is the garage space I rented for the DE at Charlotte Superspeedway. I got to legally go way deep into triple digits over 5,000 RPM in 5th. Then slide around in the infield and have a blast. I am still looking to find some of the car when I first got it back in 1995. That was the olden days of film and no digital. I will check out MakeMKV. Thanks Brent.

Probably the sliding around that made it exciting.
Loved to drive my ol Jimmy/Bazer with snow and ice. ![]() Didn't have ABS so could slam on the brakes locking all four tires up, shift to reverse, floor it, then let off the brakes. It stopped in less distance than on dry pavement. Just had to be careful to not start going backwards. Have also driven over snow drifts that were taller than the whole truck. It would kind of just float on top of the deep snow. Dad never said anything to me about that Jimmy, but he did have me show the 400cid I put in instead of the stock 305 to my Uncle. And I started getting 4 Wheeler and 4x4 and Offroad magazines from out of nowhere.

As long as it didn't cause any other "accidents", but yeah, the wrong kind of excitement there!
