Yea, his housekeeper lady is taking care of his dog.

Phew, I put off the Elky oil change yesterday, well cause I could. I got er done today. It is 75 degrees outside! I had to use the AC in the Elky on the test drive. The stereo I put in is a unit they sell for many older cars, and they just change the faceplate. The stereo area is a 1.5 DIN and those are hard to find. The knobs for the two sides just plug in with a phone cord type of connection. ALL of the instructions just mention the left and right knob, but the faceplate is just a top and bottom knob. The never mention a top or bottom know in the instructions. When I installed it, I had 50-50 odds and I guess wrong. I just lived with it. It was finally time to fix that so I did that as well.

The warm weather stops tomorrow and they are talking about rain tomorrow and a 70% chance of some snow on Sunday. Above normal temps is great in November, just not enough of it. So back to normal temps tomorrow.

Fun start to the day. The themps hit 75 yesterday and blue sky and light breeze. Today the front came through. Dang Canadian air mass, they never send cold air down here in the summer!

Rain for today and they are saying up to 4 inches of snow on Sunday. Ack!

We (the wife) decided we needed to make a grocery store run before the working class folks descend on the store and buy up all the milk, bread and toilet paper. Oklahoman's seem to be pre programmed to buy those items. We did not buy any of that, just the regular stuff we buy.

He has his brother and his helper lady for that stuff. They just moved him to an assisted living place since there is not much more a hospital can do, except give him more infections. Evidently, he is coping well with the covid and has mild symptoms. He just needs to recover and get stronger and he can come home.

Our nice weather vanished and it is winter time. Snow is falling, and we may get 5 to 7 inches. It will be a great day to stay home. It will be above freezing this afternoon, so lots of melting and snow at the same time. The wheat farmers are loving it. Evidently the snow has a lot of nitrogen that just melts into the fields. And lots of moisture that is slow release, so no runoff or washed out areas.

About 5 inches of snow on the grass. The roads are mostly clear, and the temps were above freezing in the afternoon so lots of melting. Lots of kids of all ages played in the snow yesterday. One local park with a slope was just covered in kids and adults.

We did a nice project for a city and like so many cities it takes a while to get them to pay up. On the first of the month I sent them a statement that lists the invoice, and a copy of that invoice. I knew we had never done business with them, so I sent a copy of our W-9 as well. All three pieces of paper have our name and address right on it.

A good friend has a nice meeting room and he was fine with us using that address on our web page in case we had a client that wanted to meet in person and not at their own office. We have never needed it, and had been meaning to get rid of that address on the web page. Evidently the client decided to go to our web page and mail the check to that address. WTF?

Oh well, we will likely sit on the check until Jan 2nd to deposit it so it does not count towards 2020 income. The check will get here some day.

Morning all. The holidays can't get here soon enough so they can be over. This is the first year in 22 years the family will not be together planned.

Yea, it is a weird holiday season. Thanksgiving was just my wife and I. For Christmas we are going to visit my MIL, and we will be the only ones invited over. We are not going on Christmas day, and she is ordering a pizza for dinner. Bizzaro world.

She is justifiably cautious of the Wuhan Flu as are we.

One of my buddies that is 69 years old works at a local prison got Covid-19 at work. He had to take 10 days off work and he said for him, it was the typical aches and stiff joints from the fever and no fun, but not that bad. He said he had the regular flu 20 years ago and hurt so bad he was hoping someone would break in and shoot him to put him out of his misery. He said it the worst thing he ever went through. Of course everyone is different.

I have been watching a interesting series on Amazon. It is a British show called Time Team. They are real archaeologist, and do digs at different sites all over Great Brittan. That island has a LONG history.

Anyway, last night was an episode they were digging in a marshy area that during WW2 and flight of B-17 aircraft were returning form a bombing mission and flying in formation. As they descended through a cloud layer one of the pilots had a engine problem and had to feather the prop, and then got disoriented, started diving, broke out of the clouds, and saw he was at a steep angle, and pulled up too hard, went back up, and his tail hit another of the B-17s and broke off his tail, and then rotated down and smashed into the same B-17 and they both crashed and all crew were killed.

The airplane that was hit, was on their 25th and final mission. The war was over for them, and they were going to go home. They never got the chance.

The Army-Airforce recovered the bodies and the major wreckage at the time. They went looking for more evidence and found large pieces of the B-17. The local town has a museum to honor the two crews that died. The also have a memorial at the site. The dig recovers two of the 50 caliber machine guns that will be cleaned up, and on display at the museum.

After more snow yesterday the sun is up and the melting can begin. The roads never did get that bad. They are fine now with just patches of ice from melting. The car washes will be busy in a couple of days. I just stayed home so the Elky is fairly clean.
