So with slow wifi you are basically camping!

Set up a tent and maybe a campfire!

I just might. If I was nice to the man I'd hot spot my cell and probably be better off. But that is not going to happen.

I sat in the backyard this afternoon and used the wi-fi connected laptop to do some CMEs. Had a beer at the same time too, just because.

Our guest from last week spent the night here, and drove down to Austin, TX to spend the week. The came back through and spent the night here again on Saturday night. The original plan was for them to spend the day here, and go home Monday morning. So Mrs. Carrera and I got up early Saturday, and went to the grocery store. We bough the regular stuff, and some nice steaks to grill for the Saturday evening meal, along with fresh Asparagus, and some large potatoes. Then the weather forecast showed rain for today, and they decided to go home yesterday. We were forced to have to grill some steaks and eat all the goodies ourselves, Dangit.

The forecast was right. We have a thunderstorm passing through now and we just got 3/4 inch 15 minutes. We are happy for the rain. Nothing spinning, and no lumpy hail crap.

Morning all. Nice mostly dry weekend here. Took a nice hike at the resort, found a geo and now its time work for a week.

The storm has passed, and we received 1.55 inches. The lakes will all be full again for sure. Now we are hoping it stays cloudy the rest of the day and no sunshine to heat up the ground and atmosphere. With much heat and all the moisture it could make for some twisty winds and bad pookie this afternoon.

We have a birdhouse we put up for bluebirds. We had a pair of bluebirds, but the dang sparrows drove them out. The sparrows built this nest in there. The people in a different neighborhood have a parrot of some sort. They put it outside on occasion and we can hear it squawk. Evidently it sheds feathers, and the sparrows use them as nesting materials.

It has warmed up to 63 now, so pleasant.

We had to make a run up to Enid to visit the MIL for mother's day. My wife planted more flowers up there for her mom as a present. "We" took her to lunch and I was "allowed" to pay for that.

If I did that I would have to chain the laptop down so it wouldn't blow away, and put a coozie on the beer so it didn't freeze.

OK, not quite that bad and the winds were worse on Saturday, though none of the spotted tornadoes touched down.

I hate wind.

I also have the mower deck all apart because it is 15 years old and getting some rust and needs a couple pulleys replaced because they have sealed bearings.

Brent, we have had two months of crazy winds. Oklahoma has hit Broadway play named after the state, that discuss how the "winds come sweeping down the plains" so it is not unusual to have some wind, but this has been nuts. The good news is we have yet another rainy day. We might end the drought with just a little more rain, so no one is really complaining about the rain.

Morning all. Supposed to be sunny here. I could see the mountain this morning so they might be right for a change.

Jeez, I'm looking to move out of Kalifornia in a few years, but you guys certainly aren't making WI and OK sound very appealing.

Few places on the planet outside of southern California have more nice weather than LA. And few places have more landslides, earthquakes, and drought and water restrictions, and insane traffic.

We have plenty of water, even in severe drought conditions.

This is a buddy's house that goes on the market tomorrow. It will sell in short order no doubt. He has lived there for 23 years. He recently got married, and he does not need the house anymore.

9608 Regal Lane, Oklahoma City, Ok 73162

It is 55 degrees with a high of 67 forecast for today and the wind machines are all turned off.

That's a nice-looking house.

I don't mind the landslides and earthquakes. They're rare enough that it's not something on most peoples' consciousness--even the worry worts.

But the crowding (as reflected in the traffic, amongst other issues) is a problem. I think it really fosters a lot of bad behavior in people. For some, the politics is wearisome. And the lack of water is going to be a real problem. But in my timeline, I'll be out of here before that last issue truly implodes.

We have traffic in the spring and fall here. That is when the farmers need to get their tractors in the fields.

This has been an unusual spring, but we had a very mild winter. I think I used the snow blower twice all winter. THis is how we pay for it. Ity is sunny and 60 today. No wind. Good day to paint.
