Just a 2"....

Just went and burned some of the premium out of the 944. Should be nice and light for autocross now.

Oh and the new brakes are biting nicely...

It'll be a year before I have the cash to buy, or the time to ride, but I'm thinking 848. Thats just a damned sexy bike, that is more than capable....

My only hang up is that I wouldn't mind taking a week + long trip... I know getting bags on the 848 would be a lot of custom fab work, and then the damn thing only has about 150mi of range, not to mention it will beat you to death.....

I can keep the 900 SS properly exercised for you until you're ready...

Not as sexy as the 848....

Although probably a helluva lot less violent.

someone your size, you might want to look at a 748 or 749. they have bags to fit the bikes without fabrication. the 848 is dead sexy, however.

Not as sexy, but the 900 SS has a classical beauty to it. It looks dated, but in a good way. And it'll be comfortable for all-day rides.

Oh, I dig the cafe look too, but something about an 848 in red or yellow, just stirs my soul......

I hope you know your riding skill limits. Be careful out there on that thing.

As an engineer, I am into these as well (I do like the desmodromic valves on the Ducati of course):

Getting a new bike will require me to ride very carefully for a long time, and taking several MSF courses...

Hey, I didn't get any donations when my car was out for three years... Not fair!

Got my insurance renewed yesterday. Now pass the tech inspection and I'm completely road legal again.

Kinda like women, just because you ask doesn't mean you are getting any.
