Good Monday Morning folks.
I made through another weekend. Actually this was a pretty lazy one. I wanted to wash my car but the forecast of overcast and rain for today tempered my enthusiasm. I did fix the dripping shower head. Our master bathroom has a walk in shower and it would keep dripping just a little. It is a real pain to get the mixer valve out and replace the rubber seals. I have to shut the water off to the house, take the knob completely apart, disassemble the "motor" and get down to the seals. That is done and no more drips.

Morning everyone!
Spent saturday night in Gettysburg bar hopping with some friends. Always a fun time. I have a college buddy that live on the main street right up from the square. A bunch of us just couch slum it, so we all can stay on foot and away from the 5-0.

Yup, no need to bother with a DUI Andy... We were going pretty hard Friday and Saturday nights. Just cabbing it from the hotel to the bars and back...

A friend that worked as a cabby for a while told me he picked up a couple of drunks and the passenger asked if there was room for a pizza and a 12 pack in up there. Cabby said sure. Next thing he hears BAAARRRRRFFF.

One of my neighbors had a job that was out of town. Every Sunday afternoon he was heading to the airport. He got back on Friday afternoon. He would take a Taxi to keep his wife from having to drive to the airport in the dark. After a few bad experiences with taxis he switched to a Limo company. For only a few bucks more, the driver was on time waiting for him every time. He said it was funny to see other folks amazed he was in a limo.

Ya.... Most places you can get a town car for the same or not much more, but you have to schedule those!
 Some valets at hotels have the hookup too. In mobile they called and got us a ride in an escalade for the same as a taxi, but you had to know the guys number. Way nicer than a cab though. |
