Remember one time when my girlfriend lobbed a bottle rocket out the window of my Satellite. It arced over nicely and went right in the t-top of a 280Z going the other way. It popped right between the two big drunk guys in it. Didn't realize they came after us and they caught up at a light. They jumped out of the Z and came running and yelling, beers in hand just as the light changed. The girlfriend lit and lobbed a couple more at them while they raced back to their car. The Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus had no problem out running the 280Z.

Another year me and a friend bought a bunch of display stuff and put on a small show for my girlfriend's neighborhood. It was a new development with not a lot of houses and everyone came out with their lawn chairs to watch while we set stuff off by the pond at the entry to the neighborhood.
Well, my friend set this one off that looked like a big pill with propellers. It spun up about twice the hight of the houses. Most stuff went out over the pond but this one drifted over the nearest house and went right down the chimney. That neighbor ran into their house and in a few minute came out with the spent pill looking thing. Said it was in the fireplace and had made a big mess scattering all the ashes around.

Low light training tomorrow!
The cheap Russian ammo I brought was starting to jam things up towards the very end. Just got done cleaning the snot out of it and coating everything in froglube. Learned a lot so far, some really good techniques. |

G'day y'all, we're surviving armageddon although the fur kid is a little stressed. Hopefully it doesn't go on too much longer.
Have fun with the family Azzy. |

Get off my lawn!

Way back in 1968 when we lived in Waipahui, Hawaii the neighborhood goes nuts for fireworks on New Years Eve. The guy across the street bought a string of firecrackers that stretched almost to the top of a utility pole. My brother and I each had a sack of fireworks and we blew stuff for two days all day and into the night. At midnight the island just about blows up. All the fireworks were imported from Aisa and they used red paper to make the standard firecracker. We called them red cats since they were not black cat brand.
At midnight I hopped on my bike and rode around the neighborhood watching the incredible popping of fireworks. I actually ran into a drift of red paper like a snow bank that I could not pedal through. I had to get off my bike and pull it out of the pile of fireworks paper. I guess that got fireworks completely out of my system. I have not spent one cent on fireworks since 1968. I don't understand the point of blowing up my money. Now the subject of black powder and making of other various explosive devices while on federal property (US Air Force bases) is a different subject. I am not sure about the statute of limitations on that so I will remain silent.

Friend missed a putt on a local golf course. A couple of pie pans, a bunch of black powder and a roll of duct tape and some how that specific hole grew to 5 ft diameter. And it wasn't even the 4th of July or New Years.

It is amazing what you can do with some gasoline, smokeless gunpowder and a bottle rocket.
I think Joe is having too much fun, but it makes me want to go take a class with the guy that did our CCW certification. He is a retired Marine and does an "unusual attitudes" class at the National Guard Armory. I enjoyed the unusual attitudes in flight training, but this should be more fun. My wife and kids love the fireworks, I usually nap during them. It is more fun at home than watching the pros, other than the boomers. Can't do those at home.
