In a big way! We deal with crap like this all the time. Clients never learn always go for the lowest bidder. You get what you pay for some times.

It's frustrating when you discover incompetence spans the entire price range.
Think the proper term is flakes. Generally around here I run into what I call Christian Ba$tards because people are recommended based on religious affiliation. i.e..this plumber goes to my church so he's got to be a good plumber, right? My brother is the worse at this. Then when they do a horrible job, he makes excuses for them.

So true. One hopes that it is in decreasing proportion to the increased cost but not always that lucky.

We are paying these guys twice what we pay in other parts of the country. We thought it was due to a remote location, it's become obvious it's because they didn't know what the hell they were doing so they priced the moon. Having to find someone else to come in and save the day now.

The new quart-round and baseboard my brother's handyman put in only matches the rest of the baseboard and trim when I turn all the lights off.

My real problem is that I thought the purpose of baseboard was to cover the edge between the wall and flooring and didn't need additional quarter-round to cover it. Nowhere else in my house that has original flooring is there quarter-round tacked onto the bottom of the baseboard.

I to think that is the general purpose.

It really looks bad where they put back the old baseboard and then added the new quarter-round. Besides the color difference the old stuff is satin finish the new is glossy. To fix it and make it right will have to redo the flooring around the edges (vinyl planks) and replace all the baseboards.

It's the living room. So it's back to turning the lights off.

I can't remember if I posted this here for those of you who don't do facebook. So here is the album from the tour down Highway 1 at the PCA Parade. Glen is in there too.
