Beer is usually made from malted barley which is a cereal grain just starting to grow. So drinking beer causes cereal to be cooked to death. Therefore drinking beer is the cause of cereal death. Beer drinkers are cereal killers. I am OK with that. I tend to eat beef, pork and chicken as well.

Cereal was invented because Dr. Harvey Kellogg thought eating meat for breakfast made people think about sex all day.

Conversely, Henry Ford required factory workers to eat a big breakfast with lots of meat because they were more productive during the day if they did.

Pink Floyd says, If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.

One of my friends had a beautiful pristine Cessna 210. He flies it to Oshkosh every year. He took a girlfriend last year. She was asking if it was OK to bring more than a few oz of liquid and if there was security check. He said the security check was very through and he would preform that night AFTER they arrive. He said all passengers are issued several bottles of booze and a 9 mm with two spare clips. He was joking about the 9mm but not the booze. He said he did a very through security check every night. He did not provide details or pictures.

He insisted I use my own imagination.

She was a real cutie that I suspect was looking for a sugar daddy. He is at the age where he just changes out girlfriends every few months. I think the word confirmed bachelor was a term invented to describe him.

That is about like our 2000 Durango. 181k miles and alternator, starter and evaporator. Most of it was this past year.

Was that 200 the 4 pot or Pentastar?

The Ferrari would be cheaper. LSA does not make a good cross country aircraft, though it is slightly faster than a hot air balloon.

Now a good Lancair would be much faster than a Ferrari, but speed has its price.

Honestly I don't think I would bother with a twin. Twice the operating cost for marginal performance gain. At least the Spartan has style for the price of admission.

You could carry 1500# plus fuel for an entry price of about $65k on a good single with low hours on the engine. Figure $135 per hour the engine is running and cruise at 167kts.

SLO Dave could chime in with a better idea of everything involved.

OK, just looked on Trade a Plane, the prices have gone up about 30% from 6 months ago.

Sid, a twin engine plane is stupid expensive and only looks affordable compared to a turbine powered airplane. You will need to have a real kick ass real estate business to make enough to write off the costs of flying yourself in a private airplane. We have the advantage of charging for our flying and the costs of an airplane are just breathtaking.

It is a reality check that when one of the pilots here would rather drive to Dallas than fly down. The cost of the flight on top of finding ground transportation just takes the fun out of it. My friend with the 210 flies up to Ponca City on the occasional pretty weekend day for lunch. He calls that the $500 lunch special and his 210 is paid for long ago.

Joe, I should have guessed, you do own vehicles from the UK.

Take a pic with a cigar in your mouth when you buy it and make sure the IFF is set properly.

Glen, I am not sure even compared with a turbine the twin is any better.

In the "If you have to ask..." category. Of course, they would have to catch you to fine you. About that IFF thing...
