Been out driving around. Drives very similar to my S. Until you go past about 1/4 throttle!!

There are a few issues he did not tell me about, but don't think they ill be a big deal.

The rear hatch needs new hatch shocks, there was a new set in the back seat.

The really neat thing is the needles on the gauges has a thin silver line around the red needle part. I can see them in bright daylight!

The back of the drivers seat back fell off. Just needs the hook thing re-glued back on.

The passenger rear window does not go down or up.

It says a turn signal and reverse bulb have gone out.

Also the steering wheel radio control buttons are really scratched up. To replace them you have to get an whole airbag assembly for $1350. Found a guy in Dallas i can ship the air bag to that will repaint them for $250.

Been email chatting with the dealer I bought the Cayenne from. He paid $9500 for it at auction and was going to keep it because he was surprised at what good shape it was when he got it. The are several parts in the car to fix things as I mentioned before. Says he couldn't find a good Porsche mechanic and didn't want to pay Porsche dealer repair prices so put it up for sale. Says he is glad it is going to a Porsche guy that is going to take care of it.

In the back seat it had oil and drain plugs for an oil change. (but no filter)
Told me the drain plugs were messed up and his mechanic didn't that the right tool to removed them. Basically when he decided to sell it.
New shocks for the rear hatch.
An O2 sensor for the check engine light error it throws intermittently.
2 New remote keys he had ordered that just got in yesterday from the dealer.

With the two parked in the garage side by side it is interesting.
I've lowered the S by 25mm by recalibrating the air suspension to thing it is higher.
The S at normal ride height is the same height as the turbo on low level.

Good Hump day morning all.

We have bee playing with the 3D stuff. Basically anything we fly and shoot out the belly of the airplane is vertical or nadir photography. It is flown in stereo and we like a very minimum of 65% overlap and prefer 85% overlap. That allows us to look at the photography in stereo. The program exaggerates the Z axis or the vertical part and the operator can set the amount of exaggeration. Trees and building look a little taller than reality to make it easier to measure. The final product is accurate to a tolerance of a couple of pixels.

It is like looking at a little diorama or the background at a model rail road. Of course you can zoom in or out and move around like you are floating in the air. With the z values exaggerated a change in elevation like a drainage ditch or berm is cool looking. Utility poles are trippy. If you have the cursor on the ground the top of the pole is out of focus and you can bring the cursor to the top of the pole and see the pole come into focus. Since it was mostly shot looking straight down the side of the pole is hard to see. We can measure any object in the view. We have been doing that for over 15 years but just in the last few years getting into the digital capture. The new program is way better than the old clunky program.

Good Morning,

Man, I sure slept great last night.

Glen, was going to make a joke about how you could now do a fly over and digitally tell how well endowed I am, but you probably don't quite have the resolution to do measurements that require an electron microscope. Bazinga

Part of the setup for a new project is the Interior Orientation file or the Exterior Orientation. So it is looking for EO information or IO information. It has a list of EI and OI files and I keep hearing the Old MacDonald Had a Farm, EIEIO in my messed up brain.

It is strange for a clutch on a compressor to quit. Usually the clutch only slips if compressor is locked up or the pressures are way high. The pressure relief valve should open before that happens. On my 911 when I replaced the compressor it came with no clutch. I had to swap it from the to old compressor. I think that clutch is the one Porsche delivered on the car.

I know nothing at all about your AC system on that car so I could be just blathering random BS.

Bullet holes do little to help resale value go up. Usually they make it go down!

I guess if Elvis made the bullet hole it would go up.

Most likely the clutch coil burned up. That's what I've seen that seen several times lately.
