In CT, that's not bad at all. My in-laws have just over an acre that gets cut weekly for $140 per... I had someone quote mine for giggles, 1.35 acres of grass to cut, $80/wk was the cheap guy. I'm buying myself a zero turn this fall...

$200/mo is a deal

I just mowed my 5 acre lawn around all the trees, buildings, and horse fences (probably 2 full acres to mow) last night in about 1.5 hours. I am using a diesel 72" finish mower with power steering, and foot control hydrostat for ease of use. I have a push mower, but never use it. I do all of my trimming with RoundUp....I don't even own a string trimmer.

If I mow and edge and trim and blow off the sidewalks it takes me 1.5 hours to do my yard. I have had the same mower for 21 or 22 years. It is a Magnesium frame Lawn Boy professional mower and was an expensive investment. The frame will never rust and it is pretty light. I just add one can of 2 cycle of oil to the oil tank and go. It mixes the oil as it runs like a motorcycle.

I have sidewalks just everywhere. About 1/4 mile of edging to do.

Good Hump day morning all.

I looked at pimping, but I would be getting high on my own supply, I looked at becoming a professional vagabond but I like to shower every day. There is however a light at the end of the tunnel as of today, and I hope it isn't a freight train. My son has been looking at houses since he rents and it tired of that racket and he can't find anything in the school district he wants to be in so he may buy my property and build a place, that would mean I can drop the price of my house to fire sale pricing and do away with my last debt, the mortgage. Beth and I would buy the next house with cash and I won't be a mechanic anymore except for my own stuff and helping friends.
Speaking of helping friends, Jim you get that rebuild kit for the VW seat yet?
The boss was in a rather condescending mood this morning and after the third time he was 5hitty to me I stopped what I was doing, told him to check himself and leave me alone, I am not sure if it was the realization that he was being a turd or the realization that he was in range and my fists were balled up. he gave me a big project and stayed away from me for the rest of the day.
Well screw the treadmill tonight, I am going hiking.
7.62x51 works well enough but 7.62x63 can really send a round down range. That said, I really like dad's 6mm Remmington for shooting nice and flat. A neighbor kid broke his nose when the scope hit him when shooting his 7mm. Twice.

6.5 Creedmore seems to be well liked by a lot of people but I have no experience with it.

At the last church spoon festival we had a Marine sniper as our guest speaker and he brought his 22-250. That is a pretty hot round. I enjoyed watching the trails in the humidity as the round went across the valley.

We were also shooting mortar fireworks like clays. You can tell when you hit them.

Joe, it may be an XD, but I am not sure it would be any use to them. They probably have the rounds in with the pointy end to the rear of the magazine.

I was going to turn that statement around, but I'm sure you can imagine that on your own.

I'm sure you could find your way to something 7.62x54r or even 12.7mm Rick.

Last night, a car was driving down the wrong side of the road. Another car honked and yelled. Car 1 did a U turn, caught up and opened fire. Driver of car 2 dead. A buddy in SO says they think it's a gang initiation.

This is obviously a legislative failure. We need tougher laws that make it illegal to drive the wrong way down a road.

Well, we got the van done. Jake worked hard doing the interior including the windows.

Took it back expecting to collect our cash. She hands me the agreed amount for the van and lawn cutting and then says "holdon a minute". She comes back with a twenty and gives it to Jake. We had already agreed on his cut of the jobs and I knew that she would insist he keep if I argued so I didn't.

Basically, he got a $20 tip.
