Good afternoon all.

We got up early and went to eat breakfast. Then I came home and mowed the yard. I was all cleaned up and we were watching the F1 race. A neighbor came by to ask a simple question and I noticed that low life crappy yard man of mine skipped a chunk of the front yard. I really need to fire that incompetent fool.

So after the race I changed clothes again and fired up the mower for about 3 minutes. It was quick enough to to not get real sweaty. I am for sure cutting the price I pay to mow the yard to that crappy yard man.

Ya! Tell that lazy bastage to shape up and mow it right or you'll have his green card revoked!

Hey, I know Glen's yard man, pretty sure he doesn't have a green card. And if you call imigration these days it will most likely just get him and his family free health care.

Yea, if the yard man gets a visit from ICE they will be shown some really good paperwork I have had for a long time. I need him to keep my old cars running.

Yeah, guess if you start young enough papers are much easier to get.

I got mine so long ago I don't even remember it. Still had to learn the pledge of allegiance and a bunch of american history stuff. Was also required to wait 18 years before I could vote.

Morning Y'all.
I scored a very low mileage, high dollar low cost treadmill yesterday. I missed my hike yesterday due to the stalking hawk and I missed it in the evening because I went and grabbed this thing so I put a couple of miles on it last night.
Yeah I think this guy is going to be here for a very long time.

My treadmill is in front of a TV so I can stay entertained. Found it's best to watch content that has no commercials. Stuff like Serials on Netflicks or better yet Kodi. I like the new serials Mr. Robot and Humans. Have watched all the My Name is Earl, Big Bang Theory, Cowboy Bebop, and several anime series on Crunchy Roll. Sticking to watching episodes only while on the trainer keeps me from binge watching the whole series all at once over a weekend.

Used to video tape shows so I could FFWD thru the commercials while watching on my trainer.

We brought a treadmill several years ago. It became a clothes rack just as I told my wife it would.

It's going to be a beautiful day here. Gonna wash the van and then we are off(again) to my hometown for a birfday party for my niece.

It was a little sad walking into the garage NOT seeing the SC parked where it's been for many years. Everything went well with the transport truck and it was riding with good company to NJ. A brand new Lexus IS250 and Ranger Rover in front of it.

GLEN--I missed a spot in our yard last time, too. Ill have to discuss that with the yard man as well.

The strangest part is that I usually double check the yard as I am blowing off the sidewalks with the leaf blower.

What I REALLY think happened is the CIA, Bigfoot & the Extraterrestrials teamed up and used some of that new technology to make that one section of the yard grow REALLY fast just to make it look like I screwed up. That is the most likely explanation since the only other possibility is I made a mistake. I thought I made a mistake once before but I was wrong.

Good Monday morning folks.

I like being out as well, but we don't have many places nearby so the treadmill gets a workout for us. Cornfields are NOT fun to hike in. I could go to Governor Dodge not too far away and hike and fish though.

I could go a little further to Devils lake. It is spring fed and very cold to swim in.

AirVenture was hot but tolerable. Had a decent hat to cover my face, neck and ears. I was surprised that my wife's camera did pretty decent at full zoom on the planes. I will post a few once I get them transferred. I can see how those wildlife photographers do so well with the really expensive glass. Didn't get home until 2:30am so I was dragging a bit on Sunday.

Thuy uses her treadmill a ton. Just too hot to run outside here much of the year. I suppose I should start training since we are running a half marathon in a month.... I need to mount a small TV on the wall in front of it. She just listens to music, I like to watch something while I run. I can use my iPad, but only for Netflix and Amazon.

My wife uses our treadmill most mornings before getting ready for work. I cannot get myself on the machine. I walk (usually briskly) somewhere between 4 - 6 miles per day...outside.

I used to walk to work when I lived in Dyersville, but on a cold snowy day it still only took 47 seconds. Yes, I really did time it.

Then again, I played league volleyball twice a week and rode dirt bike on some weekends. I was a fit, trim 5'11" 192 pounds then.

For over 20 years I lived within a mile and I rode my bike a few times. I seemed like if I rode my bike I would have to bike home and get my car to take care of some errands. There were no sidewalks for most of the walk so it was not very convenient.

One day I did time my commute in the car. 55 seconds from engine start to engine off. The statute of limitations is over so I can admit to some very minor speeding on that trip.

I have a 16 mile commute these days. I could do it on a bike, but it would have to be 500cc or better. Winter would suck a bit though if it wasn't a dual sport. Knobby tires are OK in the snow and if you put self tappers in the lugs, they work decent on ice as well.
