Stijn!!

Just recite the chorus of the song "Oklahoma" and it for sure accurate today. The wind is for sure "sweeping down the plain" there is no wavin' wheat this time of year.

Parts of the state have seen 60 MPH winds but it is just 20 to 30 in the city.

Evening Y'all,
Had a surprise today. I brought in an old .22 rifle for show and tell today and my boss immediately started doing research on it. I went to work and forgot about the rifle, I left it in his office.
He comes out a few hours later and tells me to take the rifle home, pack it in an oiled "sock" and put it away because it is the rarest rifle he has ever had his hands on. He starts to give me the only info he could dig up on it and it was the same info I had already told him.
Might be worth sending to David in Pittsburgh and let him work his magic on it. I will say it is very accurate and has slayed many empty beer cans since I have had it and lots of water bottles in the last decade

Careful. too much "restoration" will kill the value.

Went and played games all evening this evening. It was at a game shop and there were dungeon and dragons type games going on, but the group I was in played different strategy card games instead of the role thing. One guy had a huge case of card that let you change the games depending on which sets of cards you use.

Hehe. I saw this this morning but didn't have the time to respond as I had slept in and was running late. It made me chuckle because at the time I not only had no pants on, I'd gone the full monty.

Thanks Pete, a good giggle is always the best way to start the day.

Morning all.

Today was my second day at work for the week. I'm liking this routine and I think I'll make it law when I'm the king of the world. Weekend, Monday, weekend, Thursday, Friday, then weekend again.

BTW, I wasn't in my birthday suit when I posted earlier.....am now though

Yesterday, I had carpenters and plumbers playing in my kitchen - replacing the cupboard under the sink after a flexible hose broke.

Wow, I must be important after all.

I received several very important (f**king spam) messages. Someone just accesed my arrest records, my mortgage records, and my college transcript! They are some dang talented researchers to do all that. It must be the CIA-NSA-FBI-NCIS extraterrestrials. I better get my tin foil hat on or they will read my mind and find out it is blank.

You might need more than a foil hat for that gang.

Aluminum foil lined with peanut butter and old gym shocks and no nipple lube or tooth paste. I especially like it formed with pointy ears to look like Batman. Then I can go around singing or humming "Na na, na na, na na, na na.." over and over without actually singing "Batman" for the full effect.

I have heard of a couple models that you can take down but I haven't ever seen one. Is that one in two pieces on purpose?

yep it is a take down model. Possibly over 100 years old. My father-in-law gave it to me to keep for the boys when they are old enough to take it.

Octagon barrel that transitions to round. Has the original leather case to store it in.
