Nah, that's called old school, Jim and there isn't a thing wrong with that. That's why my general call tone is the old bell style. I want it to sound like a frikkin' phone!

Always get looks when I get a call in public with the Wango ze Tango!

Have the Matrix phone ring also.
Matrix Call

Speed Racer ...a few friends like Glen call
Whip It ... when I get an email from work
Red Alert ...When boss's call

Call From Loser ... another friend as a joke.

Got call by the friend with the last one in the middle of a big get-to-gether. Would have been bad, but I said, "Just a minute, I've got to take this", Everyone cracked up.

Jim, isn't any time of the day eligible for nap time in your household?

I thought that but kept it to myself, I heard about her skills with a fork.

It was 77 and humid when I left for work this morning and as I backed out the whole car fogged over. Had to run the wipers for a few minutes to be able to see as I drove.

The local Porsche Dealership is EXPENSIVE.
Checked on a new key fob for the Cayenne (for the remote door locking). They wanted $369.00.
Looked it up online and found Sun Coast Porsche has them for $75.00.
Holey Cow that is a HUGE difference.

Will you have to get that key programmed for your car?

I can get a new key for my El Camino for $2. I have never once had to replace a battery in the key fob. Just like the electric windows and automatic door locks and heated seats. Never one failure in 345,000 miles. I have been through at least three AC compressors and about a dozen alternators but those are easy to replace.

I haven't had a door lock, or electric/manual window fail in the Cobra either. Of course, I haven't had a door lock or side windows in the Cobra. I don't even have the clips for the top installed since I can't see out of it with it on anyway and it doesn't help if it rains without the side windows anyway. The wipers are in the trunk but I do Rain-X the windshield.

One of my friends has a old MG-A or something like it. It has been too many years since I saw it to remember for sure. It is just about the pure sports car. No top, no heater, seat-belts, pitiful old drum brakes and it is a tiny lightweight car. He only drives it to and from a local car show down in Florida. It is truly a toy.

My 911 is a lot more fun but it is a space age car compared to that ancient British car.

I know ZERO about coding keys. My co-worker's daughter has a Toyota that has a fancy key fob. If he has one working key he can program a second fob in the car somehow.

Can't do that with no Porsche. They can't make no money if you can program it yourself. Besides how can you make sure it's you programming more keys and not a theft.

94*/89% humidity here and I have a softball game tonight at 6:30. I hope the concession stand is open to sell ice cream. It usually isn't.

Darn hot and humid here today. Storms are making their way to us but won't cool it down.

Went to the in-laws this morning to help a guy with replacing their ceiling drywall. I worked with him taking those cabinets out the widow's place. Tells me we will be starting at 8am. Kids and I were there at 7:55. Around 9:30 he calls to talk to my FIL who had left. Tells me a story about how he has to get his trailer licensed and it might be too late to start by time he gets it done. I advised the FIL and he was not happy. Dude tells him he will be there shortly. About 11:00 he shows up. I had already taken all of the lighting fixtures down and had nothing else to do.

He and his buddy start checking for trusses and making chalklines. About 12:30 they take off to get lunch. WTF? We hadn't done a darn thing!

We left at 1:30 because I have to look a possible brake job for a school volunteer.

I've not seen my FIL really pissed in 17 years. He was so mad he left.

Used the situation to teach the kids a lesson: You make a commitment, keep it, be on time, and don't be a schmuck.

Phew. Having fun with computer hardware.

I might go ahead and upgrade one of my Win 7 computers to Win 10. I figured I would just whip in a pair of of spare 2 TB drives we have on the shelf and make them a mirrored pair, and then clone my old hard drive in case Win 10 is a total cluster fudge on the computer.

Easier said than done. Getting the two new drives in place was easy. Hooking up the cables was a pain. Why they decided to put the connectors in a very hard to get to position is a mystery. I figure they measured the hands of some 85 pound Chinese woman and said, yep plenty of room. Not so much with my giant hands.

Oh well that is done, now to set up the raid and start cloning.

You connect all the cables before you put the motherboard in! Oh, wait...
