It seems the deal fell through so I will be the first to say:

What a farkin' weasel!

Too bad you couldn't call the transport guy and have him go punch the dickwad in the face.

EDIT: Sorry Richard.

That would be worth the $100 I'm out to them, might even add some to see it posted on YouTube!

My brother recently sold his 57 T-bird. Had been trying to sell it of 3 years and never offered more than $50K for it. It has a class 3 certified restoration by a very reputable restorer that specializes in T-Birds.

He got an offer of $65K from a local Ford dealer that wanted to put the car in his show room. My brother verbally accepted it.

Before they made any arrangements and only had a verbal agreement my brother was called by a collector in Arkansas asking if it was still for sale. Brother had already promised to sell it for $65K to someone. The guy immediately offered $70. Brother declined saying the car was sold. The guy's offers finally went up to $85K and my brother still told him the car was sold.

My brother said his integrity and being a man of his word cost him twenty thousand dollars.

Lets you know what kind of person that guy is that sells his integrity for just $100.

Hope his deal falls thru and he does call me. I know he won't though.
But if he does I am just going to tell him I sorry but making a deal with him would be like trusting a fart when you have the flu. In both cases you are dealing with an a55hole that will 5hit all over you.

Found the real estate company he works for in Los Altos, same phone number and email. He is even on iTunes with his reality thing. Zillow says he hasn't sold a house in 2 years.

I would really just like to tell him that for a mere $100 he sold his integrity and ability to say he is a truthful man of his word. And that every time he sees his associate, the car, or goes into his office, etc. he is reminded of that.

The $100 I lost to the transport company was my fault for trusting him to be a man of his word. Will be more careful the next time. Like a signed notorized purchase agreement, copy of front and back of title, and driver's license before I spend a cent. And then put the money in an escrow account that he transport must verify the car, have it loaded, and have a signed signed title, then I will release the money from escrow.

Loan person at the credit union returned my call well after hours. Told her what went down and she took the money out of my account and tore up the paperwork. She said she made it like it never happened. Very nice of her.

Paid for a carfax report on the car Thursday. That's on me. Part of the decision process.

Do you think he owes me anything for or towards the shipper's downpayment of $100 that I made in good faith that he said he would email me the required paperwork so I could wire the money or am I just out the money for bad judgement?

I'd tally the $100 up to a learning experience and put this loser in your rear view mirror. Not worth the stress.

Prosecco Mettalic and Silver

Jarama Beige Metallic and Titanium Metallic

Found one in Jarama instead of Prosecco. It's a year newer has 35000 less miles and roll up sun shades to the back windows. It's listed for 13K the other was listed for 11K. It's been for sale for 259 days, maybe I can talk em down. It's in FL instead of CA and it's at a car lot.

The jarama beige looks kinda gray, not sure if I like that. But the more I look at these, the more I like the Jarama Beige.

Found pics of BOTH already wearing 22in wheels like mine!

Jarama is a river, valley, and racing circuit in Spain.

Gettin to where I'm liken the Jarama better than my Carmon Red. Especially with the wheels like mine!

Dern it sold last month. Gonna have to keep an eye open.

Compared to the other colors the silver looks boring. I really like the Titanium Metallic.

Found another beige turbo it's a 2006 and only has 50K on it. It's on a lot in Chicago and they want $26K for it. Edmonds and KBB says $15K to $18K is a fair price.

There is one on a lot in Colorado Springs that is listed for $17K with no pictures. Looks like it has been owned by three dealerships for the last 2 years.

Paid for the unlimited carfax lookups.

Changed the serpentine belt on the Suquinox this morning. I have the tensioner long arm tool but ending up having to bend the handle so I could get it around the ac pump bolts. It was the original belt and was in pretty good shape for 145,000 miles. Got $20 in Autozone points so I'll get a new air filter for free. yay

Nice to hear some one is having a good day. Hope everyone else is having a great weekend!

Well, at least it got my mind off all that energy saving crap.
Did take a warm shower this morning and the water heater has been on VAC for 2 days.

Waiting to hear from a car lot in Denver that lists a 2005 Prosecco Metallic Turbo with 110K miles, no pictures. Talked to them says they have not received the car yet and is on consignment. Car fax says it sold at a dealer auction on 8/1/16 and owned by dealer 8/5/16. That's interesting.

Morning guys. We did some exercise this morning and then we went to a small park area in the nearby marina. We brought our lightweight folding chairs and table, so we had a breakfast picnic there, where we watched the boats, kayakers, and paddle boarders. Very nice way to start the day. Oh yeah...it's Saturday!

Well that was ... weird. Took the 930 out to pick up my daughter from a sleepover. Leaving my neighborhood, I passed two girls walking on the sidewalk. As I was driving by, one of them called out, "I like your car!" I didn't turn around to look, but I thought yikes, these girls are about 15 going on 25!

The proper answer is "Thanks, I do too!"

The pervert's answer is "Ya wanna ride?"

The "I like your car!" comment as happened to me in all my Porsches, including the Cayenne, and by all ages of both sexes too.

At the corner gas station one time an about 7 yo boy was absolutely enamored with my Boxster. His Mom came out of the store and apologized and told me he really likes those. Told his Mom I didn't mind that I liked it to and was a member of the local Porsche club, Then I gave him a tour of the car. I opened the front and rear trunks showing him it didn't have a motor, the opened the top and hatch behind the seats showing him where the motor was. He just ate it up. Offered to take him around the block so he could say he rode in one promising I wasn't a weirdo and surprisingly she begrudgingly agreed. Took him just around the block and made his day. His Mom was almost in tears seeing him so happy getting to ride in his favorite car. Think a Porsche was in his future plans.

In jaded LA, only recently has anyone cared to look at a 20-30 year-old 911. They're dime-a-dozen. Typically the only people to care about my car have been parking lot attendants. Never a young female--not once in the 11 years I've had the car.

Well, this afternoon I realized relators always give their clients that purchase a new home a gift basket or plant congratulating them on the new home.

Sent a plant to his house today with a sympathy card...

"Sorry for your loss. Yes, another car can easily be found, but by breaking a verbal agreement you have lost your integrity, your word is now meaningless. Hope it was worth it to you. Regretfully, Richard"

Shhhhh!

Looking at the texts, they are a slightly different shade if they have been delivered, he has been blocking my calls and I bet emails too since Noon yesterday. Hours before he emailed me that he was an arse.

Thought about seeing if I could tell who of the staff in his real estate office bought the car and send him a plant to the office Monday congratuating him on the new to him car and having a coworker of such low integrity that he could talk him into breaking his word on a verbal aggrement for $100 and sell him the car. Hope he enjoys it.

Or I could send the plant to the staff at the office and say Whomever bought the new to them Cayenne! That might be even better.

Did you look at the Pepper Buggies for sale on Pelican? Some ads are older but the vehicle may still be available.
