Get off my lawn!
|
Pain and agony. Every step hurt.
Bone rubbing on bone. The doctor said there was no sign of cartilage left, just bone rubbing on bone. I have no idea why that hip wore out like that. Maybe genetics. My mother had 4 hip replacements. My mom had her first hip replacement at age 50. The good news is artificial hips are a lot better than the 1980 versions. She wore out the first two replacements. My other hips is just fine.

Thanks for sharing Glen. I thought maybe it was from playing sports or lugging the biga$$ camera around in HS.

Get off my lawn!

For many years I worked in a professional photolab working in 100& absolute total darkness. I would load the film on the processors. We had a negative (C-41) and a positive (E-6) processor that moved slower than I could load them. When we had a lot of film I could get the film loaded on the racks and then just have to wait around for the next cycle on the processor. In total darkness with nothing to do is boring fast, especially after many years. I often would be back there for an hour with nothing to do but pace around being real careful not to walk into a wall or table. There was no hint of light, it was as dark as a coal mine with no lights.
I knew the few steps I could make going back and forth or I could just stand there. There was no place to sit except on a chemical stained floor. I am sure standing on concrete for all those years did no good for the cartilage in my hip. I do know that I am "right footed" in that anytime I pivot on a foot it is usually with my right foot. My right shoe always has more wear than the left shoe. It was my right hip I had replaced. Pay attention to your walking. When you turn a corner which foot do you plant to change directions?

Wifey just texted to tell me they might stay another night at a different water park. This one is attached to a casino so I would assume that my FIL wants to do some gambling. He usually has pretty good luck at casinos.

Mornin' all. Sounds like a good weekend for almost all.
Richard, the color you are looking at is closer to our Platinum Metallic than the Porsche color of the same name. Funny how companies name colors and sometimes they aren't close. Ours isn't quite like the web but it isn't the same as it shows in pics. It looks medium grey in pics but has a hint of the web color in it when looking at it outside. ![]()

I was looking in my spam box. I am now qualified for a $500 student discount at my local Ford dealership! Maybe it is time to sell the 911 and get a Mustang....
Well maybe not. I don't care for Pool either. I have not been in school since before I bought my 914 I don't think I will qualify as a student anymore.

Dealer is arranging the transport. None of the transports that called me could beat the price he got. Hope that doesn't mean weeks until he gets and actual space on a truck!

Bought a Cannon all in one from best buy this morning to print and scan the purchasing and insurance document. My 15 yo Brother all in one died when doing the cali deal stuff.
Setting it up the touch screen broke. Called best buy and they said to bring it in and they will replace it with a new one!

Hopefully your luck has turned the printers against you and not the new deal.

It's already sold.
Actually agreed on a value to take as trade toward the bill for the 928 engine rebuild. If the ticket is more one way or the other we will settle up which cash. Going to have it all detailed out for him do get rid of the Pepper hair. Also planning to swap wheels to put my current 22in wheels on the new one. He likes the Porsche 20in Sport wheels, I like the 22in Champion RG24s so it works out there too.

I checked my fuel mileage after my trip yesterday. 21.25 avg. Not horrible for a vehicle with 145,000 miles.
