I can play a radio, CD player and even a antique cassette player. That is the extent of my musical ability. I can't even carry a tune in a bucket. I just listen to Pandora all day.

I can play any instrument. If you want to hear a tune though I will have to limit myself to just the few that I can actually play well.

When we left for vacation we stopped the first night at my sisters and went to a family fun place called Fort Frenzy. We got the 4 hour pass and went to drive the electric go karts. They have different "classes" based on age and that determines how fast they go. We got lucky since they didn't ask our boys age and put us all in the middle class. He stayed in front of my sister until she distracted him and he ran into the wall. Our daughter won that one. I could late apex and get along side but she would have the inside lane on the next corner. One of the other races there was an issue and he got a half lap head start and we didn't catch him. Stupid weight advantage.

Emily and my nephew want to play airsoft this weekend. I am still beat from all the driving. One day we did over 17,100 steps.

We found a major reason the brakes were acting funny...it had front rotors from a std Cayenne and not even the S or the Turbo. Only half the front pads were touching the rotor. 330mm vs 350mm rotors.

The shifter wouldn't go into manual because it was gummed up with chocolate shake (said that's what it looked like it used to be when it was spilled into the shift gate).

Ouch, I bet new monster rotors are gonna cost a bit more than the rotors for the Elky.

AC Delco original equipment $39.78

https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-18A87A-Advantage-Non-Coated-Assembly/dp/B0055AYVU0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472669774&sr=8-1&keywords=1986+El+Camino+brake+rotors

I don't think they will work on the Turbo Pepper.

Weird stuff on the rotors for sure. Wonder why they were changed.

I played in school band until 10th grade. The band director hated drummers. I think a drummer must have shagged his then pretty hot wife and he was pissed about it. I worked co-op my senior year so I only had class until 11:30 am. I usually worked in the evenings so I had lots of time to screw around which I did. ALOT. We went to the beach in warm weather and played music in the winter.

Would assume it needed front rotors at some point with 130K on it. Said they looked fairly new though.

Too bad I got to go see the eye doc at 3. The Turbo is on the rack with all the wheels off. Could drop by and have them swap wheels.

I was on hold with Pelican Parts trying to figure out which coil I should order. I had been on hold for 10 minutes and they are playing Lying Eyes by the Eagles but they keep saying my call is important. Wait...

There are 10 coils listed on the page for coils for a 85 Carrera. I know I don't want the Bosch Silver POS coil.

Your car has to many options. Sell the 85 and get an older one.

Yea, an SC has a very similar coil and it had a CDI box to make it go. I don't have a CDI on a Carrera.

Home from the eye doc. The area that's bleeding isn't bleeding very much, but is too close to the center of my vision to hit with a laser. Got a shot in the eye that we hope calms it down and lets it seal up.

Must have been some powerful stuff. When I went in it was all nice and sunny out. While I was getting my eyes looked at it sounded like someone was moving things around in the attic of the doctor's office. When I left it looked all gray, dark and gloomy. It was blurry and really really really humid. Got soaked just walking to the car. If I hadn't just gotten my eyes all dilated and a shot in one would have sworn it would have helped to turn on the windshield wipers.

Nope. I will stick to the Carrera. No air box explosions, ever. Better oil cooling and bigger clutch and brakes. The SC is a great car, the Carrera was the next evolution. The perfect classic 911.

We have had a dry August until today. We just received 3.10 inches in two hours. That will make for a wet August if the airport got that much rain.

Not at all. No big deal. No flooding, no mudslides, no drama. Just good rain.

While no big drama it was still pretty stressful driving home from the eye doc with my eyes dilated, a shot in one eye (very blurry), and dealing with deluge in 5 o'clock traffic.

It wasn't the worst though. The worst was doing the same thing in a blizzard. Had 2 of those sunglasses things along with MY SUNGLASSES and it was still so bright it hurt.

Good thing the eye doc is only 4 miles from home.
