I really don't want to see that Jim, especially you wearing a fancy leotard all bent up like that.

The second hand dealer just came by and picked up the old fart sack. Gave me 120 bananas to boot. Woohoo, drinking money for after the work Christmas party this evening.

Got the new clutch hydraulic lines bent and installed. I'll work on bleeding it all tomorrow. Then fill/bleed the cooling and a quick oil change and I'll be good to go.

Some guy offered me the KBB excellent condition price for my car, $7,500.
NADA says 11,475 and Edmunds lists at $13,586 private party and more for dealer. NADA and Edmunds also list trade in value around $9000, KBB says $6,200. KBB pricing matches NADA and Edmonds for a base S with no options. Thought I was being pretty aggressive on my pricing of $10,500 OBO. CarGurus.com says it's a good deal and below the going price. Sounds to me like KBB is the low baller price guide since they started offering to buy cars

Told him because he was the buyer I would expect him to quote KBB at me, and quoted NADA and Edmunds back to him and said as the seller they sound a lot better to me. He said he didn't want to spend $3000 on 20 year old air suspension. Said it sounded like he was looking at the wrong car and if he was going to buy cheap, he was going to end up spending the difference in repairs.
Figured I would have to wait for someone that wanted the Air Suspension but didn't want to pay $5K to $8K more for a Turbo. Air Suspension was an option on the S and standard on the Turbo. Not very many S's have Air Suspension. The Air Suspension and stuff that goes with it like driver adjustable shocks, and load leveling add $1K to the value.

Get off my lawn!

Good morning. It looks like another beautiful day. Blue skies and mid 60s for the high.
Gonna have to find a project in the garage. One thing for sure is I will put away the AC unit.

Had an AC window unit to keep my brother's room below 70°. A year or so after he passed I took it out of the window. A year of it sitting the MY Garage my next door neighbor's central went out during the hot part of the summer. Loaned it to him. Has been several years. Think it's sitting in HIS garage now instead of mine.

Sounds like you gave it to him in his mind.

He asked if I needed it, said not now and he could give it back whenever. He said you know where it is.
His garage is a storage room NOT an actual garage. Don't think you could fit a 914 in there even if you redistributed and stacked the stuff to the ceiling. Gave him the shelving we moved with. Our old house was 900 sqft with single car garage and the garage was the utility/storage room with lots of shelving. Think the closest it ever came to being a garage I cleaned out about 10ft in the overhead door end and used the area to rebuild the engines on 2 cars. Even put in a florescent light on the ceiling that shined thru to garage door windows when the door was up. Mom had a LOT of stuff. When we moved she got rid of extra material she kept from making drapes to some quit making club. The 6 to 8 ft long bolts of material filled a mini van with no seats in the back. When we moved here I was thrilled I had space to park a car indoors and started looking for a Porsche. Wanted a 928 but ended up getting a 944Turbo S. Four years later when finally found and got the 928 GT a cleaned up the storage half so I could park both Porsches in the garage. Had them both for about 6 months. When I cleaned out the stuff being stored in my garage I gave the extra metal shelves to my next door neighbor (so I didn't have to store them).

Have thought about adding a shed to the side of the house to put the lawn stuff in like mower, edge trimmer, string trimmer, roto tiller, and all the lawn and garden implements. But never had gotten around to it.
Would really like my garage to be a couple of feet wider so you could park both cars and open all the doors without worrying about hitting the walls or the other car with the doors. Think that is kind of really expensive though.

So Ellen just handed me a box that was delivered and asked what I ordered.....uhhhh....nothing that I can recall. Hmmmm....Oklahoma City.....?
Hand knitted slippers from Mrs. GH85Carrara with a nice letter. Ellen loves them and will put them to good use this winter. Make sure to pass along her thanks Glen. You two are welcome here any time.

Our house came with a big shed that has an attic, too. It would be worth it for you Richard to get one.
