We got maybe 5" and I cleared it all yesterday afternoon. It snowed a little since then but not enough to bother with. Stripped down to a sweatshirt to cool off and play with the kids and the dogs for a while. Then had to climb an aluminum ladder to change a light bulb and had to put gloves on for that. Nearly dropped the old floodlight on my daughters head. Hit the dog instead. It is supposed to be cold this week and close to 0* as a high on Wednesday.

We get down to zero only on occasion. Often it is several years before we see 0 again. That is just silly cold. I have to put the pond heater in for the koi for that cold. It is funny that we will see the koi swimming around that heater. It is the magic maker of heat for them.

We are in luck! They changed the forecast. It won't be a high of 0* until Thursday!

As Special Ed would say "YAAAAAAYYYYY".

Another storm is forecast for Saturday. Of course! That's the day we are supposed to go to my hometown for Christmas with my family. Yeah, I realize they were just here but we separate my son's birthday and Christmas. It's the only day EVERYONE could make it.

65F here. But, it was cloudy!

Coffee, white grape juice, and Jello was on the menu, so far. Dinner will be a savory bowl of chicken broth, with more Jello for dessert. Mmmmm. Tomorrow, the roto-rooter treatment. iAy caramba!

Hey guys. It has been a very long time. Life has been super busy. I am currently working on a project in the Houston, Texas area. We have about another month of work and then back home to Pennsylvania. I visited San Antonio and Ft. Worth since I have been here.

Wow, Andy and Pete on the same page. Maybe Sid can pop in now.

I need someone to entertain me!

I have a guy coming over on Friday to upgrade my garage doors. The doors themselves are OK and good insulated door panels. The spring on the double door is 21 years old and it gets replaced with two springs, one on each side of the center rail. The other door gets a new spring but it was replaced once since that door gets the majority of the workout.

All the rollers are going to be replaced and the main thing is going to a wall mounted door opener to get the motor out of the way. That will give me 8 or 10 inches more room to raise the cars on the scissor lift. The 911 can go to the top of the scissor lift. The El Camino could hit the current motor. The new Macan will need the room for sure.

A Pelican bud had a side mounted opener installed on his main garage door so he could fit a sweet 4 post lift. They work fantastic and really make a lot of room available.

He parked his Turbo on the lift and raised it far enough that you could walk underneath.
It worked so well that a neighboring Pelican did the same thing. We assembled and installed both of the lifts in one weekend.

I wish I had that much room. I have just 10 foot ceilings. A builder friend put in my pit for the scissor lift. I asked him to just swag a estimate to raise my ceilings before he did the pit. He guess 30 grand. That will not happen.

When I was doing the speedometer cable on the Elky the transmission hookup is right under the area where my butt sits in the middle of the car. I had the lift as close to the opener as I dared and had room to sit on the floor with my legs wrapped around the scissor lift arms. I had enough room but it was tight.

He is raising up the rails as high as possible to be just under the 8 foot florescent lights. For sure I can max out the lift then with the Elky. The Macan will go to the limit of the room available. Hopefully it will only need oil changes.

It was 3* when I came to work. One of those days I don't mind working inside.

I think I would have more sympathy for Jim if you didn't give the weather report before the bowel report.

Though we will be in CA for a week over the holidays. Flying into San Diego and driving to El Centro.
