So they pushed me in at the end of the days list for the angiogram (was told this morning just before lunch that I could stop fasting as I wasn't being done till Monday). Smashed that test too. No damage to my ticker, and normal circulation.

Now they are changing my BP meds to manage both AFib (what I presented with at E-D on Monday) and my now new lower BP (as a result of the last 6-12 months of lifestyle changes). Kidney function is also now good again.

They (the docs) are talking about me getting discharged tomorrow.

A big fat WOOHOO for me.
I thought the nurses did that!

So Jeff, you are maybe goona be a discharge tomorrow?

Good news, hospitals are deadly places to hang out. There are always sick people there.

Mertnin.

Back in the day all 18 fruit trees I got to dig holes for were mail order. Remember my Dad having me plant them deeper than they were in the soil they came in. Planted them with the crotch only about an inch above ground. Later discovered Dad had won a bunch of awards for his fruit trees back when he was in 4H. Planting them deeper made them shorter so the fruit was easier to get to.

Jeff, Sounds like you are getting out without any stints or balloon work. Hope they get fixed whatever put you there in the first place.

Are solid state drives getting as cheap as platter drives?

Some of the "smaller" ones are getting close. A 6TB will not be yet.

They are a great bang for the buck upgrade in my not so humble opinion for a boot drive.

The drives are getting cheap, but spinning drive will be bigger and way cheaper.

I am not worried at all about a flash flood at our house. I am on a hill and if I flood the state is in big trouble.

I am working with a client that wants some images of a refinery that was in Tulsa and built in the 1930s. Our oldest image we have from that area in 1961. The client wanted something older and is willing to wait for me to get it from the National Archives in DC. The USDA flew the area in the 1940 and 1948. After dozens of emails it looks like it will cost about $90 per image to get a scan. Wow.

I was happy that the National Archives finally accepts email for requests for the availability of an image. The last time I went through all of this an email was not allowed, I had to submit a FAX once a week for a couple of months before they would reply with another fax.

Now that I know the images exist I have to pick a certified archivists to go to the archives and scan it for me. All of them are private businesses.

I just noticed that any time someone is having any kind of problem with their PC at work their drive is being replaced with an SSD. Know it is better, but for a company is trying to save money they seem to have an initiative going to replace all internal drives with SSD?

I remember back when the Library of Congress had a huge depository of SCANNED images of historical paintings and pictures that you could download and use the images free. Then Getty Images took over management and suddenly you had to not only pay for rights to use the same images PLUS an extra fee to have them scanned.

Now no one business has the management. The archives will research what they have of a certain subject. Of course they have a crazy huge collection and have every type of collection from old guns to moon mission artifacts to images of every sort. The aerials are from government programs and I had to request the specific section township and range of the image. They told me what was available. Nothing more. I had to track down a list of certified archivists that are licensed to go to the archives with their own equipment and scan a negative. Of course there are tons of archivists that only specialize in 18th century French treaties or art of one area or just aviation manufacturers production records. The list is endless.

I finally found some that specialize in aerial images. Now I need to figure out which one will have the best scanner and the knowledge on how to get a good scan for an aerial.

If they try to make a scan that looks pretty it is junk for my needs. I want a low contrast 2,100 PPI scan right from the scanner. No Photoshop work done to it. I need a scan with detail in the highlights and detail in the shadows. It looks ugly and flat but it provides the detail needed. It is not an art project, it is a map.

When I get done with it the final product is a geo-referenced map. Nothing will make an photo of an old refinery look pretty, but it will be easy to see the equipment on the ground and know just where a storage tank was or a fracking tower or wherever.

The full answer to this one is a little convoluted and I'd rather be asleep right now, but the short answer is that a change in my meds (and a couple of new ones) should keep what happened from happening again.

Poor old mate Barry the master farter had a big procedure today and is really struggling with his recovery. Consequently so am I, after being woken by my nurse for some routine obs. I now need old Barry to eventually fall asleep and go quiet so I can fall asleep too.

This cracks me up. Do you see the humor or am I just insenitive?

Brother that is into extraterrestrial stuff is always forwarding links to "whistle blower's" video's with information on various extraterrestrial topics. He says he has done a lot of research on the subject, the source in the link is really good, it is important, I should watch it and learn about it.

Today my fundamentalist SIL forwarded me a link to a video of some evangelist's message/sermon and how she thinks this guy is really good, it is really important, and I should watch it and learn about it.

Should I tell her the same thing I tell my brother? ... "That was great, I just love science fiction!" Ha ha ha ha ha.

Yesterday and today feel more like summer. After walking around the harbor, we came home and had b-fast outside on the patio.

I guess we will be digging in the garden tomorrow if it is dry enough.

There's an HOA owned (HOA is defunct now) lot next to my house that was wildly overgrown. I rented a Makita Brush Cutter from Home Depot to take care of it today. It would have been nice if they maintained the poor thing at all. The start cord wouldn't budge at all, took the spark plug out and drained a good .5 ounce of oil out of the cylinder and it started after that. It still wouldn't idle though. Then one of the bolts on the blade guard rattled loose and it fell into the blade.
