When did they start putting Ford engines in Russian tanks?
Got a Cannon color laser copier fax scanner with wifi last fall for just under $200. The old Brother 3 in 1 Color Laser it replaced was $1000 several years ago. Didn't print enough to ever get new toner cartridges for it. Need to make an app to send and receive faxes with smart phones. If you don't recognize the number, let the fax get it. LOL By answering with those annoying fax machine connection tones it would also reduce telemarketing calls! You could call it iFax on the iPhone, and Faxoid on the Android. I use a fax machine and average of about once a year.

not happy
Well after two days of taking out the engine, fixing bits, getting the Flywheel machined this morning, putting in a new sound insulation, putting the flywheel on, and getting ready to put the new pressure plate on and noticed this!!!!!!!! *ark! The outer cardboard shipping box had no marks, but the inner Saks kit box had a small hole that lined up with the dent, *ark! I bought this from our benefactor, and I have sent them a query. Being an aluminium pressure plate it was soft enough to bend, and the leading surface of the pressure plate has a 1.5mm slant to one side. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! Not happy, I have the car sitting on the hoist at a mate's shop, and need to go buy another pressure plate here in Oz to get it off the hoist on Monday.

That sucks Azzy. Are you doing some of the "while you are in there" basics? Anytime the engine is out you should replace the thermostat gasket, the oil pressure sender. The infamous triangle of death. Also double check every vacuum hose and replace any that are old. And of course, by all means do a valve adjustment.
Good morning everyone.

Afternoon.
Azzy, a hammer and dolly would get it fixed good as new, right?

This is going to be a hoiday weekend.
Brother Bob is coming to visit for the 4th. First he keeps whining about how Holidays are really tough for him. He as two boys that are married and have their own families. Both have disowned him and don't answer calls from him. So he will be going on and on about how his kids won't talk to him. Next he will go on and on how my other brother that lives only across the alley and street doesn't invite him to any family events. Will exspecially hear about it for the 4th because other brother puts on a professional fireworks display every year. Bob even call to ask the other brother if he was going to do the fireworks this year and wasn't invited. Probably do not want to invite him because he would expect to be able to spend the entire weekend with them. Will also get to hear about how they do not want him to stay with them and have asked him to NOT talk about his alien religious beliefs around them. SIL has even berated his beliefs in front of him to other guests that are Fundamental Christians like themselves and expected him to not say anything. He is also a horrible guest that expects you to wait on him hand and foot because he is a guest. Will also hear about how he doesn't have enough money to live on, yet somehow comes up with the cash to invest in internet sites about UFOs that require a subscription and internet/email sales scams. Oh and there is also how he has to go from Bank to Bank making payments on this credit cards because he is kiting them, ie taking cash out on one to make the payments on another. Then he needs hearing aides before he can get a job. But when he received $5K inheritance from Mom he spent the money to go to a UFO conference instead of getting hearing aides. AND I traded my old cable box for the new Contour one that does voice recognition, but haven't installed it yet. So he will bug me about that to keep him entertained. Even when I had the cable box hooked up I had to find shows for him to watch because he just couldn't seem to learn how to use the remote and the guide. Glen, you guys need to send me some stuff so I have something I HAVE to do this weekend. Bob just sent me a text that he has enough money to make it down here, but will have go to the bank to get money from his SS deposit to make it home. Last month is SS deposit stuff was all messed up somehow and he didn't have access to his money til the 10th. Looks as if it is shaping up to be a fun Independence Day Weekend!

Stijn!!
Azzy, the triangle of death is super simple and dirt cheap to do with the engine out. Check out the technical pages and you will see a few bucks of gaskets and 15 minutes will save you a lot of cussing and oil mess in the future. And to not adjust the valves with the engine out is almost criminal. Unless they were adjusted within a few hundred miles ago. The vacuum hoses should at least be checked closely as well as the fuel hoses.

That toilet is like after eating my mom's chili. She won the blue ribbon and a medal at the State Fair of Oklahoma for her chili. To say it was hot is like saying water is wet. It is swimming in real chili peppers. She would bring down a pot for my office years ago. Everyone gorged themselves because it doen not burn your mouth, just the throat and ALL the way through.
My old boss at the time said he had a new experience that night. He stood straight up in bed and started RUNNING at top speed to the bathroom. His wife said it was like a cartoon because he ran in place for a few steps and all the bedding just went to the head of the bed. As a young-un I could put away several bowls with no issues. As I got older I had to have a bottle of Maalox to chase it. The last time I had any I used it as a salsa and dipped in on my tortilla chips. I miss her and that chili. Back to work for me, my shoes are off and the music is rocking!

morning all. Round two in the veins now we wait for her to recover. Looks like my 84 year old father wants to do the parade thing. I proposed that he come over this weekend and see if he can get in and out of the 911 let alone want to go for a 4-5 hour ride in it.

All your dad needs it to be there. PCA wants a name badge on everyone. He will not be able to get into the goodies store but the concours is open to anyone. If anyone asks tell them your dad lost his badge in the bathroom.
