OK, I bet that at least 90% of the folks that look at this thread do a google image search for Samantha Ardente (the secretary's porn name).
I guess that'll teach her to hand out autographs instead of snubbing her fans!! Yeah, I can't see any valid reason why he'd have been suspended.

Im guessing his suspension came from creating a false facebook page of her. This does seem like a non school issue but what do I know.

"The boy had asked her for an autograph. Ardente wouldn’t give him one and asked him to keep quiet about the matter."
-Attempted blackmail. "The boy then created a Facebook page in her name," -Identity theft, harassment, and stalking. "complete with a racy photo of her in her undies." -Stealing copyrighted media from another business. Minor in posession of adult materials with distribution. |

Cause he's a low-life little dork that created a fake facebook page under someone else's name and posted racy photographs of her without her knowledge?
That'd be my guess. And no, I didn't bother doing a search. |

I looked her up. I wish I hadn't. She's got a face that's made for radio.

The body isn't that great either (don't get me wrong, I'd hit it, I'd just need a paper bag...) |

The school boards position is that she 'performed' knowing the movies and pictures would be sold. Had it been a private video or pictures that were released without her consent then she would not have been fired.
I suspect she will have a legal case for wrongful dismissal. The 'value' of the claim will depend on her losses (hoe soon she finds a job) and her years of service. I doubt she will get much out of it. Aside from more 'fame'. Bottom line: Don't make porn videos and expect to stay employed at the Catholic school board. It's not rocket science... |

What was a little surprising is that the kid was suspended from school.

Common sense notwithstanding, there exists an arguable issue of public(ish) responsibility vs. private expression of freedoms.
The teacher's other business was targeted at an audience far removed from her work environment. The boy's actions were deliberately public and meant to injure. Last edited by john70t; 04-03-2011 at 10:03 AM.. |

They both acted 'improperly'. It could also be argued the students actions were immoral. But I don't think either committed a crime. |

"The boy had asked her for an autograph. Ardente wouldn’t give him one and asked him to keep quiet about the matter."
-Attempted blackmail. John70T, Good summary. However, there doesn't seem to be a threat here lacking compliance to the request. IMHO, declining a request, then asking doesn't constitute blackmail. Instead, if she said, "I'll make you a man if you don't tell" - that is either blackmail or an excellent school year. I agree with the other charges you describe: "The boy then created a Facebook page in her name," -Identity theft, harassment, and stalking. "complete with a racy photo of her in her undies." -Stealing copyrighted media from another business. Minor in posession of adult materials with distribution. Sherwood |

is it illegal to create a web site using the name of somebody else - e.g. say I created JanetGreen.com
-- legal? |

I guess that depends on Canadian identity theft laws? Is it impersonation? As I read it, the kid created a facebook page, not a website.

Can I call my website - Webbsite.com? Am I okay with that since your name is in it? I think so. I would think it depends on your objectives of the JanetGreen website and how you may or may not portray the Janet Greens of the world. However, if you registered the URL, it's yours. Try IBM.com for greater potential income (probably taken already). ![]() Sherwood |
