Hands-down the 951. Holy moly was that car a blast! There's nothing like taking freeway onramps at 2AM sideways at 100+ with the turbo screaming. Good lord I miss that car!

Probably a good thing it burned up before it landed me with a mega ticket or jail time, or both... Brought out the worst in me at times.

My SLK is in second (still have it). I don't care if it looks like a chick car - it's got it where it counts. Not the fastest or best handling in the world, but still plenty fun.

My 911 would probably be above it but I haven't driven it in quite a while (perpetual project ongoing...)

Seahawk - was it the British darker green - or that odd puce color?

They were great little cars - I often think of getting another one... my little brown teutonic geliebter left my sphere way too early.

The darker British green. I bought it with my own money as a senior in high school in 1975 for just over $2k.

Geliebter indeed

My wife's Cayman
My '84 911
My old '80 VW Scirroco
My old '70 Plymouth Roadrunner

Hands down, the car that gives me the biggest grins every time I'm on a winding country or canyon road - my wife's Cayman. I never tire of that car!

Next would be my old '84 911. Similar fun, but with an occasional reminder that it can bite hard.

I had a '80 Scirroco many moons ago. That car was fun on canyon roads - as long as I was going downhill. Underpowered little thing with something like 87 HP.

I had a '70 Plymouth Roadrunner for a while. Great fun in a straight line, but that was about it.

The one that pulls my boat to the lake or gulf which in turn is then put into the water and is a natural place for women to be considerably less clothed.

Both my cars. I often let the 930 sit for months at a time even though the weather is great. Then I drive it and man why don't I drive this car more often. It is like the best thrill ride at Disney World only my foot controls the fun.

Anyone who has a well sorted 356 knows how much fun they are too.

Wow...driven as opposed to owning? I've driven hundreds of cars including nearly every sports car and muscle car while working at auto dealers in the '70s/'80s/'90s. Any car that really feels good in your hands is a smile-generator, IMO. I remember the first time I drove a euro 930 in the '80s alone, when I floored it in 1st gear and the boost spooled-up it was like being on the most amazing roller coaster as a kid and being tickled at the same time. Massive smile. Maybe laughing.

The Sunbeam Tiger with its crazy torque/weight ratio in a small sports car is similar. Laugh out loud when it breaks traction from a rolling start @ 20-30 mph. There are under-powered cars that also can be a blast to drive on the right road.

My Dad's V-12 4-speed E-type convertible was always good for a smile or two on the rare occasions that I drove it alone w/ the top down on a summer day as a 17 y.o.

Hands down my 1984 944 (when it runs) makes me feel like me and the car are one.

However I have plans to try a Miata, boxster, 911, someday.

Oh and my Dad's 1968 Olds Cutlass two door, loved that car.

It's pretty much a win win...the boat for fishing, and the boat for foolnig around. Water skiing, and even more so tubing have been responsible for many a lost top.

It's always amusing to see the chica minus top try to get in the boat while trying to preserve her modesty. I have more respect for the one that get right in not hiding and then says "what, like you've never seen tits before!"

Talking boats is a whole 'nother kettle of fish but I grew up in a place where land really competes w/ water for space. (Minnesota). We have beautiful lakes and rivers everywhere you look. The predominant ethnic group is Scandinavian. I could write a book about boats and bikinis.
