Free old school MTB parts. Come get them in Orange CA.

Anyone here use Chain Reaction Cycles for bike parts?
Trying a small order with them to see how it works out. So far, they have had my payment for 4 days and items are not shipped yet. |
I've had good success with Chain Reaction Cycles.
|
Just have notification the parts have shipped. New XTR cables and chain for the Blur LT.
Hope the new chain will mate to the old cassette as the old 9 speed XTR Cassette is hard to find and expensive! |
I purchased a set of wheels/hubs from Chain Reaction and it all went very well. They arrived far quicker than I expected and were significantly less expensive and used the same parts than any domestic wheel lacer I could find.

this would fit right in on my chain bike http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427502355.jpg

Did that fella buy that wheel from Chain Reaction?

You guys will appreciate this. Was able to snag a leftover jersey from last year's work cycling club (I didn't work at Honda last year, but do now and am part of the cycling club). The livery replicates Marc Marquez's championship winning MotoGP bike.

Zamirz, I thought you were a Porsche mechanic, building race cars and street rods and such? What do you do for Honda, sounds like fun?
|
Not a mechanic by trade. I worked for Dave at TRE Motorsports for many years (great guy!) supporting him and the shop in all the things you mentioned, and then went back to school to get my masters degree. I now work for Honda R&D Americas on product development for Acura division cars.

I'm helping my mom clear some crap out of her garage and she happens to have an Aluminum 53cm Serotta in pretty good shape. Ultegra components all around. If anyone here is interested, let me know and I'll get some pics up here before it goes to fleabay.

New ride - 2015 Focus Mares carbon cyclocross bike with SRAM rival. Fitted for yesterdays gravel and pavement ride with nice fatty 32c Continental Gatorskins. Traded two of my bikes in, so the "herd" is down to three which keeps the husband happy! ;)

Love the colors on that Focus.

My first real aggressive handling mountain bike was a Focus. It was one of the first bikes that arrived in the shop I once raced for that had road bike like head and seat tube angles and a tight back triangle. It was suppose to be burnt purple. It was pink. I was fast enough to ride a pink bike back then and get away with it!:D |

The Motobecane on the left is a '72 Le Champion graciously acquired from Pelican gatotom. Completed a full teardown and preservation but with some tweaks in gearing, brakes, bars for gravel grinding and a few randonnee tours. Still tinkering with it but really enjoying what they're all about. Unable to install mudguards as my toes are already skimming the front tire in technical off-road.
