Put a spare set of Ksyriums on the mountaincross bike today for a little more spring in my step! Makes me grin to put those wheels on- because I pulled that frame out of a trashcan!

A work in progress.
I spent about 15 minutes setting some more hooks in the wall for the fleet.
In the end, I want to get all the bikes on that one wall. I will subject this thread to a "final" picture when I get them right.
Other than worrying about them all crashing on the 911, the extent of my bike collection is coming to life. I think it's about 10-11 bikes. I dunno. Having them all accessible at a moments notice inspires me to go ride. I feel like Neo choosing his guns in the matrix. Make me want to write "get out and ride!"

We had about 18 of these built in this paint scheme.

This is just after Schwinn was spun off, and the Paramount factory became "Waterford Precision Cycles".

Thanks Peter.
Don't get too excited. Only the crank is Record. Remainder is Chorus.
The crank was my one "Splurge".
I see 20+ (Nearly 25!) years has changed up the equipment just a bit.
Very pretty DeRosa!

Fun tidbit - Richard Schwinn sized me up for that bike at the factory.
Neat experience.

Well, really not a "bike" pic, but related to bikes.

Yesterday, took my daughter riding:

Had great time. Spent some time dialing in daughter's seat height and saddle. Now she can get a good power stroke over the cranks and she could immediately go 10 mph+ and outrun the training wheels on her bike (PK Ripper 16 inch reissue).

Of course I took my BMX bike. Of course I wore my old vans.

Later, we went with mom to a local brewery. (her mom. my wife. not my mom- who bought me the vans)
Not really realizing I was wearing my checkerboard vans (or caring), I noticed a group of fancy young millenials snickering at me from the corner. I didn't really care, except, THEY were wearing "Vans" t-shirts and THEY were wearing Vans shoes. All of them had solid tone Vans. None appeared they had ever ridden skateboards or bikes.

Feeling a little like old Han Solo, I wanted to tell them I was wearing these shoes decades before they were born. I wanted to pull out my blaster and shoot first just for the hell of it.

To Spite them, I went out and ordered these today:

Should be in mail shortly.

Word of caution for those Calgary mountain bikers riding in the West Bragg Creek area.

Quote "Incident in West Bragg Creek – Caution Advised

The Greater Bragg Creek Trails Association is sad and horrified to report that, on the evening of July 5, several mountain bikers were injured by a wire strung between two trees on a trail in West Bragg Creek. At this time, we’re trying to determine the location. Meanwhile, both we and the RCMP are encouraging immense caution while riding in this area. Anyone with information on this inhuman act is encouraged to contact the Cochrane RCMP or call 911. We will update you as further information develops."

I have had the same thing happen, luckly, I was in a good mood but did point out that the pair I was wearing, I had since their big brothers were stains in their daddies catch rags...

BTW, I dug out a used pair of Blue Z-rims, open to trades, have a nice pair of GT Hubs that could be included...

Built this one recently. All made in Japan circa 1990.
Needed a full going over, but now it's really nice to ride and fast.
